For winter the cottage is equipped with electric blankets, a gas heater as well as an indoor fireplace with a good supply of wood and more available to buy should you run out. The Wood Owl is a safe, solar power backed-up, clean studio apartment with private terrace next to a forested area frequented by bushbuck & birds. If you're lucky you'll hear the African wood owl at night. Fireflies sometimes light up the forest at dusk, the perfect backdrop for your outdoor braai (BBQ).
