The place is located at the Marina in Penang - a nice spot of its own with restaurants, entertainment and a small mall. The apartment is equipped and suitable for short term and outgoing guests enjoying a marina lifestyle with waterfront, bars and restaurants. The place has a spacious balcony to enjoy the view over the marina site and its strolling visitors. Some construction work has started for creating an additional island across the marina with a slight visual impact on the view from the apartment.

The unit was superb with spacious rooms and also private tub. My kids really enjoyed it.

Chng is a very great communicator and is very available, before during and after your stay! The place itself is good if you're just looking for a "home base" and aren't planning on using the villa to cook or hang out in. If you are planning on cooking or hanging out be sure to bring in supplies with you beforehand. I recommend the Tesco on the drive from Georgetown. There's nothing within short walking distance for water either so make sure to bring your own. The walk to the beach is downhill about 10-15 min and is an excellent cardio exercise on the way up. I recommend having a car if you have small kids or are not in good psychical shape. If you're active, it'll be fine! Uber and grab are both cheap and easy options to get around. All the places to see are very close. The beach near the house is ok. If you want a cleaner and less people beach, try "monkey beach" in the national park. We also really enjoyed the hiking trails! The villa is very clean and the rooms are very nice. Two rooms have their own bathroom, the third bedroom uses the main bath. There is a laundry machine which was very helpful after days at the beach and soap was provided. The pool is great for kids as well as the two playgrounds! It's not the coziest or best shocked of places, but it's clean and in a decent location if you have a car, don't mind a quick walk or are ok with taking a 3 min cheap Uber/grab to the bottom of the hill. If you like cheap eats, I recommend the hawker stall right at the bottom to the left!

The apartment is part of the Straits Quay complex which meant there were plenty of restaurants and a supermarket very close by. There is very easy access to other parts of Penang using Grab , or the local bus service . The restaurants and bars in the complex means that it can get noisy in the evenings but we did not find this disturbing particularly if the windows were closed. The swimming pool on the same floor is a real bonus. Wendy and Sharon always responded very quickly to any requests and were easy to deal with. This was our second stay in an apartment hosted by them.

Our stay at Cecilia's condo was for 2 months, so it quickly became our little home away from home. Everything met our expectations as per the description of the condo. The bed and livingroom furniture are comfy and the kitchen is well stocked with supplies and cookware. We used the stove daily for light cooking and there are two fridges which helps if you stock up on groceries. We loved the nature surrounding this condo and the regular visits by the monkeys. They instantly became the highlight of our stay, for sure. The sea view is also beautiful. There were plenty of cargo and cruise ships to watch, as well as the fishing boats that arrive early every morning. We chose not to rent a car. This location is very doable without one. We used Grab to get to and from Georgetown for shopping and touristy things. Overall, Cecilia's home is a wonderful stay for anyone looking for a natural setting, quiet, and of course monkeys! Good place to stay, but furniture and TV a bit outdated

I had four weeks at Daniel and Grace's place. It was so beautiful looking out at the water and the location for groceries, food etc was spot on. The hosts are both very proactive and very friendly. The bed was super comfy (and I'm a bad sleeper), so I found that really good. I was often the only one in the pool, and it was so refreshing as I found the heat hard to handle. Would stay again if visiting Penang in future.

We enjoyed the entire stay and there was no flaw to it. The bed was comfortable and we had a good rest during our stay, toilet was spacious and clean. TV channels were awesome, ranging from movies, sports, news, documentary etc. Mr.Leong our homestay owner was professional, our stay experience was beyond our expectation, antique house with lots of charm & on top of it all value for money, it was a memorable 5 star experience and will definitely return again!

it is a great experience staying at Alvin's place. It is a heritage house, full with characters. my family and I also want an Airbnb which is bigger than a hotel room and has privacy. This place exceeded our expectations. The place is easy to find, there are a lot of good restaurants nearby(Alvin also gives good recommendations!) Alvin is a very accommodating and proactive host. I would love to come back to stay with Alvin again! lastly, Penang is amazing 😍

Where to begin? What an absolutely stunning colonial home in a perfect location. Shawn and co were amazing with communication, the self check-in was well explained and super straightforward. Very easy to find the property too. The house itself is beautiful, plenty of space, very tastefully decorated, and comes equipped with everything you need for your stay. A big bonus is the outside seating area, garden, and wet kitchen area. Lots of nice places to eat nearby, and a very short grab ride to the beach, shopping malls, and Georgetown. Honestly one of the nicest places we’ve stayed during our travels around Malaysia, wouldn’t hesitate to come back here next time we’re in Penang. Thank you so much Shawn for sharing your home, for your professional and timely responses to our questions, and for making the entire stay so easy and relaxing. Absolute 10/10

We really enjoyed our stay here. The building was lovely - amazing swimming pools, a gym, a room for the children to play and a running track, we were really happy. Everything was a good standard. There were lots of shops and restaurants walkable. And as traffic across Penang always seems slow it was nice to be between the beach and George town. Wendy and Sharon were great hosts, clear instructions, and very quick to respond to any questions we had. The flat was exactly as in the photos, spacious and very comfortable for our stay of 5 weeks. We would absolutely recommend.

Clean and nice place...

Arrival arrangements were made via text and very easy and straight forward. We met by Eveline who showed us around the apartment and ensured we were all set for our 9 days. The apartment is lovely with large bright rooms and a lovely view. The TV had Netflix which satisfied my daughters when it was too hot for the pool. The washing machine and dryer were another bonus which we took full advantage off. Free Wifi completed the package. The apartment is located just on the edge of the night market which we considered a bonus.. close enough to visit but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle. It was five minutes walk down the well lit main thoroughfare. Traffic can be a little crazy up and down the thoroughfare and the pavements are mostly filled with the traders in the night market so you need to keep you wits about walking down the road. The traffic isn't excessive, just a little chaotic. The road could be quite noisy at night but just occasionally. The apartment has a lovely pool and a children's playground The apartment is in the resort By the Sea which has has very helpful security. I left the complex without a key which makes it impossible to get back to the apartment. Having spent a few days there security recognised me helpfully let me back in. All the staff at the complex are very friendly as are the other residents. The complex backs onto the beach and can be accessed by a gate requiring a pass. Batu Ferringhi is quite touristy but everything you need is there. There is some nice places to eat and the Escape water park is a fun place to visit with the kids. Book those tickets on the Escape website and charge up a money wallet which saves you having to carry money inside the water park. The tree climbing part is probably better for older kids and adventurous adults. Georgetown is much nicer place to visit but it close enough for a quick taxi ride for a visit. Taxis are best booked using the GRAB app which is essential and super easy way to arrange taxis. Payments can be made in cash to the driver so no need to input your card details. It works on either Wifi or Phone data so need to get a local sim card.. although it does make it even easier. Local Sim Cards cost about 40 ringgits so very reasonable for a longer stay.

I stayed here for almost a month and I really liked the place. super easy to go the groceries on the basement floor and plenty of restaurants and gyms in the area. within walking distance of several malls and public transport right outside. only comment is the power outlets in the apartment aren't conveniently located but that's easy to work around

Located in best part of beach in batu ferringhi area. Direct access through a secure gate. Infinity pool was perfect for afternoon after a long hike in close by national park. Access to Georgetown very easy with scenic bus ride , the stop is right in front of condo. The building seems to be the newest and cleanest property in area. Good amenities.
