We had a lovely time at Philip’s cottage. It is beautifully furnished and has everything you need. It was super clean and smelt very nice. The only thing I could not find, was a hook to hang my coat on. The snacks and wine was a lovely surprise and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We appreciated all the tips about the area and really made an effort to explore the surroundings. A weekend at Pecan Tree cottage is not enough. Next time we will come for a week.

A lovely central spot to stay in Calitzdorp. Hosts were very welcoming and provided info regarding open restaurants during our stay. Our Labrador got special treats and enjoyed the garden. The space is well equipped and we had everything we needed including electric blanket. Information regarding facilities was clearly provided in writing in the accommodation. Would definitely recommend the Karoo Nest to others

Great stay in Montagu at Yvette’s place! It is spacious and beautifully decorated, fully equipped for a short or long stay with everything you might need. The views of the lake are spectacular and the whole environment is tranquil and calming. Very relaxing and would highly recommend!

This is a working farm. You will experience, sounds and movements of a Karoo farm. The cottage is big enough for two adults with two children. Everything you need. The surroundings and sunsets are beautiful. We loved the walking, running and bicycle trails everywhere in the area. The host is very friendly and always willing to help. Expect an urban feel, with gravel roads, but no 4x4 needed. The boutique brandy distillery on the farm, is not to be missed. (A nice experience with the host and her helpfull husband.) 15km from Montague, not to far for everything that you need or a nice meal in town.

Our second stay with our two kids in this beautiful house. As before, we love the wild surroundings, the cozy and comfortable space and the amazing views and night skies. We’ll be back!

Wat een mooie accommodatie! Even weg van de drukte, met alles wat je nodig hebt en nog extra luxe in de tent. Een perfecte plek om even tot rust te komen. De tent is stijlvol ingericht en heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Marinke is super vriendelijk en communiceert heel duidelijk en snel. We vonden dit een hele bijzondere plek en we zullen het iedereen aanraden.

it is a really nice and well equipped Apartment. Carla was a super Host and helped us with laundry and tips for activities. We would definitely come back :)

If you're looking for a private, scenic, quiet location, then this is it! The drive to the farm was long and dusty, but the stunning mountainous views make up for it. The cottage is exactly like the pictures, it was clean, welcoming, and beautiful. We loved the complimentary rusks, chocolates, and wine! The bedrooms are simple with comfy warm beds. Clean modern bathroom and great kitchen with appliances. We spent most of our time on the patio overlooking the beautiful views. The hot tub was awesome for a sunset dip. On our last night we had a friendly kitty keep us company on the patio through the evening as we sipped on wine and relaxed. Riana was a very friendly and responsive host. Overall we had a beautiful romantic stay at Doornkloof!

Oom Koos and Aunty Gayle are lovely, helpful and honest people. Really enjoyed my stay.
