I have to say, this house really set the bar for our kids. Great big house, two living room areas, four nice-sized bedrooms. The kids LOVED the games (arcade, shuffleboard) and the kitchen had lots of great extras (salt & pepper, etc). Our dog also had a blast, plenty of space to walk her in the backyard and down the street. We walked down to the Lake, which was available to us but not really a place to hang out. Highly recommend the thrift shops nearby (Plum Pickings, for one). Would absolutely stay here again!

Cathi's place was everything as described. The house was clean and the location was perfect for a remote getaway - far enough to enjoy peace and solitude, but within a few minutes drive to restaurants, grocery stores, etc. The lake was close enough to walk (if you're up for it) or a close drive away. Cathi's house had everything you could possibly need as well - toiletries, spices and condiments for cooking, and even supplies to do laundry. The house was spacious enough for our family of four, and one dog, but felt very cozy and warm at the same time. I would definitely stay there again if we're in the area!

I would rate this house a 5 out of 5. The house looked just like the pictures . It was very clean . The host was very responsive, she was great. My family enjoyed the fire place located on the side of the house . There appeared to be a spider issue in the house . We saw a couple and had to kill them. The shower in the basement was very small. Besides that my family and I had a great blended thanksgiving and would definitely rent again . Thank you for everything Angela !!!

Rented this amazing location for a reunion with our friends. We had the best time, the new fire-pit was perfect for our hangout time, and we loved having a fire at night and reminiscing by it. The house had everything you need, all bedroom were nice, and the kitchen was well used and supplied. The big table for meals and games was great and we spend a lot of time there playing chess, Magic the Gathering, and Poker. The hottub was on time for us after a day spent checking out the lake and playing disk golf. Certainly really enjoyed that. Its worth mentioning they have a LOT of Tvs that are all very nice. As mega gamers we used the double TV setup in the den room to play Madden and watch NBA games at the same time. Really cant say enough good things about the whole experience and house. The owners were very responsive for anything we needed. Highly recommend this spot for family's & friends as it has more than most spots you will find. 10/10 / 5/5 all the above!

We (2 adults + 2 dogs) went for Thanksgiving week; we basically had Lake Anna to ourselves -- minus 2 of Mary's wonderful neighbors. The expansive property has tons of room for dogs to run, and the two neighbors we met had friendly dogs. Humans will love the firepit, screened porch, comfy outdoor, furniture, TV, bbq grill & smoker. Inside, there's TONS of room. The beds are comfortable & bedrooms are spacious, plus there are 2 full baths (1 w/tub), and a beautiful "French country" kitchen with which my wife fell in love. The kitchen had everything you'd expect/need and more like tons of spices, plenty of boxed/canned foods, a waffle maker, a Keurig w/pods, etc. We remarked numerous times how wonderful it was to have all this at hand (compared to other places we've stayed). There are toys for kids and dogs, a canoe, plenty of board games, and several TVs. It was a perfect, peaceful, and stress-free stay in a wonderful home; we'd choose it again without hesitation. This was a wonderful stay - the house is gorgeous, the beds are comfortable, there is a lot of room for two families, and a well stocked kitchen - and it is all set on beautiful land. We all loved greeting the horses each day, and walking the grounds, discovering the streams, and enjoying the wildlife. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Sharon's home had ever creature comfort one could ask for. extra soft , warm blankets, a warm fireplace, a well design kitchen, comfy beds, relaxing spaces inside and outside, very dog friendly, a great neighborhood that was walk friendly, the list could go on. This is a prime pick.

This lake house was beautiful with excellent views. Eric was very communicative and accommodating, offering early check in and local recommendations. There would have been more to do in the warmer months but it was still nice for a winter getaway.

better than we could have imagined! absolutely beautiful surroundings. The other cabins and main house are pretty close together physically but we never saw anyone-still felt private and the views/surroundings are so beautiful that you feel in your own world, an immersive place. We really liked the decor, much more soul than the average cabin you might find on airbnb, and clearly the hosts have an eye for art and history. There were two times we encountered dogs unexpectedly and without any owner in sight, but they were very friendly dogs and no trouble-just unexpected. This would be a fantastic intimate wedding location!! Had a wonderful time and will be returning in hotter months to use the absolutely beautiful pool area.. thanks for a lovely stay.

This was an awesome place to stay. We were there for a big wedding and it was perfect and well worth it Clean, and we’ll taken care of. A farm setting in a beautiful area. We met Sharon and Peaches ,one of her dogs, when we got there and they are some cool people You gotta check that place out Thanks Sharon for your hospitality

We are absolutely OBSESSED with this place. The silo was everything we imagined and more. The farm animals are literally a few feet away from the front door and gave us a warm welcome as soon as we arrived. From riding several miles of bike trails to fishing and boating in the pond, there was never a bored moment. The owners Ashleigh and Mike were super nice and made us feel right at home. This was definitely one of our top spots we’ve stayed at and can’t wait to return in the future!

Our stay at Bloomingdale was wonderful! You could feel the history of the house. It was well appointed with a beautiful kitchen looking over the fields and an open living and dining room. There was also a large den and another parlor on the main level for get away spaces. Upstairs beds were comfortable and bathrooms were plentiful. We had a great stay and didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend.

She was a great host. Went to welcome us & made sure we had everything we needed. She was so sweet! The farm house was beautiful & the views were espectacular. We will be definitely coming back.

A group of my college buddies and I get together every year to hang out for the weekend, and this was a great place to do it. The basement was perfect for watching football, watching movies, playing video games, and pool. The hot tub was great in the cold weather. We really enjoyed our stay.

Truly the photos don’t do it justice! 11 of us stayed and there was more than enough room. Clean, modern, new home and the hot tub was a blessing after a long day! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our wedding weekend! Thank you both.

A great place to stay, especially with the little kids. Lots of exploring to do in the beautiful yard. The swing was a great time!

A 4-day quiet and romantic anniversary trip was made even better by this beautiful cabin nestled in the trees in a quiet peaceful neighborhood abutting Lake Anna. The home was immaculate, and we loved the rain shower-heads and the screened-in porches front and back. And, you won’t find 2 more friendly and responsive hosts than Jeremie and Joelle. We had trouble locating a common area nearby the house, and we locked ourselves out on the last day while packing the car. They were jolly-on-the-spot quick with help. I don’t know that I’ve ever come across nicer hosts. Very clear communications from the start. There’s a hot tub on the back porch (we didn’t use it this time) and a jetted bath tub. Spacious bedrooms, comfortable beds and the most quiet nights. An awesome experience all around!

This was our 4th year renting this house for a week of fishing. My friends and I enjoy the location and easy access to the water. House is always clean and our hosts, Andrew and Chad are very responsive and helpful with any questions we may have.

Can’t beat the view! We loved being able to spend time in the lawn chairs each day. John was extremely communicative and friendly!

We had a lovely stay at Lili's place. It was very peaceful! We would definitely book again if we were in the area. Lili was very responsive to any questions we had.

The location is very private and peaceful, located in the middle of a substantial piece of land, surrounded by forest. Lot's of room for my kids and dogs to run around, unsupervised. the pond adds a lovely element to the space (and made for some nice photos). It was beautiful in the winter and is probably even more so in the summer. My only advice is that if you need to bring work with you, the internet is a little too inconsistent to maintain a virtual meeting, but perfectly adequate for email. Overall, it was a perfect getaway from the city!

This is a lovely place off the lake, which was an ideal setting for our family spring break: peaceful, comfortable, a lovely view, and enough space for the kids to enough inside and out. Al was very friendly and went above and beyond in helping us feel at ease and helping us out when we forgot things at their place.
