Our stay was great! The area is so beautiful! This is definitely a tiny home, it was a bit crowded with only two people so I wouldn’t recommend more than 2 or 3 guests. Super fun spot! Will definitely come back!!

Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommend! I had an amazing experience staying at Stephen's place for a ski trip with my group of friends. The property was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described in the listing. Communication with Stephen and Amanda was seamless; they were quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Mahalo for hosting our family while we celebrated our son graduating from Navy bootcamp! It was such a pleasure staying at your gorgeous lake front home. My heart is so full! As a mother there is no better feeling than bring my boy home to make him a home cooked dinner. We had a blast exploring the city the next day with the whole family. Highly recommend this home for any future Navy families. Make time to enjoy the library, lots of amazing books with a real wood burning fire. Your home was very clean, kitchen was stocked with essentials and atmosphere was relaxing! Keep your eyes peeled for the otters!

My friends and I were looking for a house to fit the six of us while we kicked back and watched some football for the weekend. Barbara provided us with the perfect house. Grill, hot tub and other amenities were fantastic!

Absolutely recommend staying in this home!! My sons were graduating from Navy bootcamp and we all had the most amazing and memorable stay! The house was beautiful and immaculately clean. The host went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, even had a custom cake made for my sons graduating from bootcamp. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a home cooked meal, the hot tub was so relaxing… just an all around perfect stay. Our favorite airbnb we have ever stayed in!! Definitely recommend if you are visiting for a navy graduation and want to spoil your graduate (12 min to base) but also even a great place if you’re visiting Chicago and want to stay outside the city. Looking forward to visiting again, highly recommend!!!

This was a great place to stay to spend time with our Sailor after Boot Camp Graduation from Naval Training Station Great Lakes. We were all able to relax and spend time together. We were able to cook his favorite meal, play a game together and all 5 of us fit comfortably on the couch and in the hot tub. The lake also made for a beautiful backdrop for pictures and watching wildlife. The bed in the room off of the kitchen is the most comfortable (one of sons got that room). The bed in the master was not comfortable to us, but may be to others. Communication and instructions were great. It was wonderful to have a real coffee pot and filters available. We brought our own coffee. They worked with us to let us check in a half hour early to meet our time frame for the evening. It was very helpful.

Stephen was a welcoming host and the cabin was exactly as described. The location is secluded and quiet, but you’re also close to groceries, restaurants and fun antique stores. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals, and the fireplace is cozy and perfect for relaxing. Even with snow on the ground we enjoyed strolling around the property down to the lake. A wonderful stay, we’d love to visit again.
