We had a wonderful stay at Samara’s beautiful property. It was above and beyond our expectations! All rooms had everything we needed for a welcoming, comfortable get away. We will not hesitate to book again when we return to the area.

What a beautiful retreat in the country. Very peaceful and restorative. Wonderful extensive trails on property - well groomed, marked and cared for. We enjoyed both walking and mountain biking on the trails. Sauna was amazing - loved seeing the trees through the sauna window while sauna bathing in the day, and the stars through the window in the evening. Enjoyed the outdoor gazebo swing in the evening with the ambience lights around the gazebo. Home is welcoming and well set up. Kitchen is a lovely space. Compost toilet was a nice feature (no smell, and appreciated this eco friendly system that reduces water usage). Thank you for the opportunity to stay at Toadhall - a true haven.

this was a fantastic stay! it was private, gorgeous, and cozy and was everything we wanted in our stay. It's also close by to the Nordic spa, great restaurants, and walking trails if that is what you're after. I can't say enough good things about this place. 5/5 stars!

The house is fantastic, cozy, and has a charming, fairytale-like appearance. It perfectly captures the spirit of the area and the whole city. Very comfortable and inviting!

Our group of two small Winnipeg-based families had never been to Steep Rock before. It's a lovely August holiday. Monica & Scott's house is comfortable, with a large open room inclusive of the kitchen, dining table, and livingroom, all overlooking the grassy front lawn (where we played croquet) and dock stretching out toward the west over Lake Manitoba. It really hit home, how wonderful it is to take in a sunset over the lake, under the leaves of sheltering trees. As well, we loved paddleboarding out to jump in the lake and then chatting in the hottub, watching the windsurfers, jumping in the quarry lake, and nighttime fireside conviviality. Standing on the dock at night, we were so happy to take in the Milky Way and comets for the first time in months.

This place was just what we needed. Spotless upon entry, tons of space for my 5-person family. The grounds were really spacious, the beach was private and lovely. Super nice neighbours. Tons of frogs and toads for the kids to chase. The beach is definitely rocky and the ground is squishy is areas, so water shoes are a must. The kitchen had everything we needed to make nice meals and on the deck there’s a fully set up large BBQ. We loved movie nights on the comfy couches, letting the kids run wild in the huge yard, and watching the gorgeous sunsets. All the beds were on the firm side but decently comfortable, which isn’t always a given at an airbnb. Overall we loved it. Would book here again without hesitation.

The place was perfect for our work trip, to gather and relax afterwards. We had everything we needed with a beautiful backyard and view.

This quaint little cottage is a true gem! Beautiful surroundings and a great little screened in porch made for lovely and peaceful mornings and evenings! Liv was an excellent and responsive host! We definitely recommend staying here. :)

Very peaceful place, that’s a gem! The patio is amazing to enjoy the sun while drinking your coffee in the morning - at night you can enjoy being in the nature without the mosquitoes! We were able to watch the northern lights and to hear the coyote howl from the confortable chairs, absolutely beautiful!! Also it’s close to riding mountain national park which is very convenient. I highly recommend this place for a nature break. Thank you Liv, we had an amazing stay 🥰

This place was exactly like the photos! It easily accommodate our whole family of 8 people for vacation. We enjoyed a fire outside and games on the deck. We will 100% be back. The house also was fully stocked.

Very clean and cozy, it was the perfect place for us to stay on our visit to the area. We came in the winter and appreciated that we were allowed to have a fire outdoors, Kathy provided lots of pre-split, dry wood. Kathy was friendly and easy to get in touch with at any time, highly recommended.

Leanne’s cottage was welcoming and had all the amenities that we needed for our stay. The location next to the park was great.

The place was just perfect, nice clean and cozy

I've rented from Peter before when fishing but this was my first trip with my family and a couple of friends and no fishing. Even though the lake was still frozen we didn't run out of things to do. I took my goddaughters to go see Hopper the goat as all of the chickens. Peter took us out to the alien crash site. There are a lot of walking trails that Peter has made so you can explore for hours. If it was a bit later in the season we could have taken kayaks on the pond right behind the property. Everyone enjoyed hanging on the hammocks in the yard and on the deck. We used the fire pit all weekend and even used the large grill for it to cook our food. The only downside to the whole weekend was that we had to leave and go home.

This place is a COZY LITTLE COTTAGE. I was here for a work trip and it’s very conveniently located for that. Great kitchen amenities, comfortably couch and bed, 2500+ television channels to choose from. Way better than a hotel and perfect for what I needed. Friendly and attentive host, I’ll definitely stay here again and recommend it to other company members who travel here as well.
