Michael and Margaret are great hosts. We head up to their place every winter now for a little cottage country escape. They are super responsive and helpful. Their place is warm, cozy, and has a great hot tub under the stars (and under the snow if you’re lucky). We’ll be back again!

I would 100% stay here again. The apartment was fantastic, extremely clean and cozy! We didn't have many concerns or requirements during our stay, so we didn't have much interaction with Marsha outside of our check in and check out instructions. Check in was super easy and directions were clear. Check out was also extremely simple and had extremely basic requests for checking out. If you are looking to stay in the area, I would for sure recommend staying with Marsha.

Sarah’s place was beautiful and exactly what we needed for a restful week away! We loved the included amenities and made sure to put them to good use. Whenever we needed something, Sarah was very prompt to answer and assist us! We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend the beach house or one of her other two properties at the Inspire Beach Resort.

Cabin Bjorn was everything we expected - and more! Set on a beautiful property surrounded by tall trees and the Irondale River, it truly is a slice of paradise. We were so fortunate to spend four days here, relaxing and unwinding. Cassidy’s a fantastic host and we hope to be back this summer!

We had a great time at The Love Shack. Bobby greeted us at the door and was an amazing co-host. McKellar lake is absolutely beautiful, the evening canoes were perfect. So peaceful and quiet, yet still a quick drive to Perry Sound which has everything you'd need. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a nice retreat.

We had a great stay at Stella’s place! Everything was as described. Comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location close to Bala and Gravenhurst. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Would stay here again!

We had an awesome stay (my husband and 5 year old). Janice made us feel like welcome guests in their space and takes great pride in their cottage. So many down to earth things to do & explore! The pictures do not capture the wonderful experience we had. Waking up to the sights and sounds lily pad pond and then hearing the frogs & crickets at night was a lovely experience. We would highly recommend this cottage stay. Great space & Great hosts! Thank you we would stay again!

Enjoyed our stay at Glenn Burney Lodge. Owner was very helpful and communicative, proximity to restaurant was great, privacy and seclusion of cabin made us comfortable on a first trip with our dog that he wasn’t going to annoy others if he barked a lot (which he didn’t…yay!). Overall, a very positive experience.

Exactly as pictured/described, everything you need. Lixin is very friendly and responsive. Helpful with any questions you may have. Kids loves the bunk beds and we had a blast. Looking into booking in the summer.

My husband and I had a really lovely time here for my birthday. It was the perfect weekend getaway from the city; private, quiet, and surrounded by trees in beautiful Baysville. Our dogs loved being able to run around the property and go on daily walks to the lake. The cottage itself was cozy and charming and had all the modern comforts we could need. The bathroom was especially nice! Though it was a chilly/rainy weekend, we stayed warm by the fire, used the SmartTV to catch up on shows, and powered our way through a thousand piece puzzle! All in all very relaxing. The hosts were also friendly, responsive and flexible; we’d book again!

This cottage is chic, serene and was lovely to unplug for a few days. It looks exactly as described. It’s tastefully decorated and thoughtfully laid out with a shuffle board, games, art essentials, a well-stocked pantry, plush bath robes. The wood stove inside and sauna outside was a bonus and great touch. The cabin is set amidst 100 acres of private land, we went on hikes, our dog loved it. It’s a short drive to Bracebridge town. We drove to High Falls in Muskoka which was beautiful. Taylor was super responsive. Can’t wait to come back.

It was great staying Misty River Cabin. The area was beautiful. My family enjoyed the stay and our dog love all the outdoor space to play fetch. Close drive to bracebridge made this location perfect for us as it allowed us to visit some of the local breweries there. The Cabin itself was beautiful and cozy. Would definitely come back in the future.

5 Stars Just Aren’t Enough! We just got back from the most magical stay on Otter Lake and I’m already dreaming about going back. This cottage was everything we hoped for — peaceful, clean, cozy, and tucked away in the kind of natural beauty you usually only see in postcards. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by nature — literally. Two deer greeted us right outside the cottage on day one. The lake itself was serene and quiet, perfect for morning coffees and evening stargazing. Our Labrador pup Rosie, who’s new to lake life, absolutely thrived here — wading in up to her knees like she was born for it. The trails through the trees made for beautiful, romantic hikes, and every corner of the property felt like a little retreat for the soul. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn’t — just peace, comfort, and a serious dose of nature therapy. We can’t wait to come back. This place is a little slice of heaven.

Nrupas cottage was more than what we expected! The location was perfect, the cottage is more like a house, the layout was perfect for gathering friends and family. The deck is huge and plenty of seating. There’s a fire pit with lots of seating. The bunkie is great for more privacy. There’s canoes, kayaks and a paddle boat…the lake is gorgeous. The neighbours are friendly. Comfy beds, We will be back!

Had a fantastic weekend at Ron's cottage, plenty of space for a small group and the cottage is stocked with things to do. Ron was always very responsive and even helped us out when we ran into a bit of car trouble on our last day, by sending us over to his son Jake who is the local mechanic in town - we were back on the road quickly thanks to them. Highly reccommend this place, thanks Ron!

Cynthia and Steve truly went above and beyond to make both my fiancé and me feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. They made sure everything was taken care of for our entire weekend stay, anticipating any needs we might have and being incredibly accommodating. The cabin itself was an absolute gem – cozy, warm, and exactly as described, offering the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing getaway. We had such a fantastic experience, and we’re already looking forward to returning next year!

We loved our stay! The cabin was exactly as described – clean, modern, and well-equipped. Stephen was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Check-in was a breeze. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

What a gem. This is a beautifully rustic spot in the woods for a gentle getaway on the water. There’s a bit of a scramble up a hill from the brand new dock (with amazing swimming and lovely afternoon sun!) to a sweet little cabin - everything you need for a comfier-than-camping holiday. There’s all the kitchen basics you need, and the wood stove makes it super cozy. The lake is quiet and the neighbours friendly. It’s a great spot for a lazy day in the dock, or a more adventurous day trip into Massasauga provincial park. Geoff was very responsive when the power went out and offered to come up to fix it right away. But we preferred to spend our last night in the warm glow of candlelight and wood stove. Highly recommend.

Nicole was a fantastic host. Her place was super cozy and well supplied, has everything you could possibly need for a weekend stay. Highly recommend staying at boom-shack-a-la. 11/10.

It is clear the owners have put a lot of care and thought to every aspect of a stay at their cottage. Outside, there were 3 canoes available with PFDs and paddles; the dock was perfect for fishing- we caught bass and sunfish, and catfish, plus we also swam too. Pool noodles and ample outdoor dock seating was also available. The outdoor seating and dining area was really wonderful and afforded a view of the river still but also surrounded by trees that sound so lovely in the wind. There are neighbors on either side but everyone keeps to their own and feels very private. The barbecue worked great and it was so thoughtful how there was a lighter and a spatula and tongs clean and provided for easy access. The place was stacked with things you may have forgotten at home like a post-swim q-tip or herbal tea. The forest across the street is uninhabited and was great for mushroom foraging. I would 100% recommend this place as it had exceeded our expectations at every turn.
