Perfection

We just spent 2 wonderful weeks at the Storm Bay cottage. Mark and Faye are great hosts. Mark gave us easy driving instructions, met us on arrival and took the time to show us around. He was also easy to reach when we had a question. Everything about the place was great - the location (close to Kenora for supplies but also private), the house, the boathouse (it's spectacular!), the view, the fishing and especially the sunsets. It's so peaceful and quiet and the fishing was great. We came with a couple of boats but we even caught fish from the dock. When on shore we lacked for absolutely nothing. The kitchen was the best equipped we've ever seen. We didn't use the hot tub or the sauna but I enjoyed having the piano. We were a small group of 4 but there is plenty of room for a very large group on shore and on 2 nearby islands, King and Sunset. We've been coming to LOTW for 40 years and THIS WAS OUR BEST STAY. We can't wait to come back to our favorite place on our favorite lake.

Phil was a great host! Everything was as stated in the ad and the condo was very clean when we arrived. Phil was also very helpful and was ready for any questions I had. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower/bath combo was amazing! The tv had many channels and the Internet was very fast. Overall, if this condo is still avaliable if I want to visit winnipeg again, I would definitely stay in it.

It is a lovely place, lots of room and very comfortable. It’s in a great location, close to everything. I would stay again.

Stay was great, cabin much bigger than it looks from the road or in the photos. Lots of separate areas to gather if you have a large family or extra guests. Hot tub was great. We were there at the tail end of winter so mostly hunkered down by the fire or in the hot tub, would be an amazing summer stay!

We had a long term stay at Jordan's place. He was extremely communicative and addressed any concerns we had. The home contains many belongings of the homeowners so there was a lot of stuff in the house but enough room was made for us to comfortably keep our belongings. There is no bathroom on the main floor and a lot of stairs but we knew this going in from previous reviews. The front porch was a nice extension to the house and you can't beat the neighbourhood. Jordan even went above and beyond to return items we had forgotten at the house.

Pristine little cabin at an awesome resort with lots of stuff to do for adults and kids alike.

wonderful stay, would recommend if someone is looking for a small, cozy cabin in Gimli. comfortable place, wonderful host, and left a gift for my fiance and myself!!! would definitely recommend to a friend or return ♡

We absolutely love getting an opportunity to spend time @littleretreat it feels like a home away from home. It is such a peaceful place, and we love all the trails through the forest and sitting by the wood stove. It’s so wonderful finding properties that are pet friendly and our dogs love it. Michael is a great host and makes you feel like you are just popping into a family members place while they are away. Can’t wait to get back.

The lodge is pretty close to the Pelican Lake. I’d recommend watching the sunrise& sunset. It’s extremely beautiful.

We absolutely adored this home, land location and the owners. The house was filled with everything and anything you could need. Beds were comfy and the yard, gardens, small private beach and lake were amazing. Jeani and Randy were so kind and thoughtful and their communication was top notch even reaching out to give us an update on the storm that came through, northern lights and harvest moon. Randy was there to meet us and even helped us unload. They had a ton of material for the surrounding areas. We drove up to Voyageurs NP - all of them, Crane Lake and Vermilion Falls, traveled over to do activities in Ely and Tower. They do live onsite but up on top of a hill and we never saw them. We also took the kayaks on the lake. Ducks come to visit several times a day. The neighbors are very friendly, there are trees on both sides so you don't see much. Home is on a dead end road so you can walk dogs without any traffic. Internet speed is great. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great space to stay in convenient and walkable location in Winnipeg. Very close to the Forks and other main attractions. The hosts were very responsive and help throughout the stay, going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Would stay here again!

3rd year in a row we have stayed here always great!

Dominique called at 11:00am to check in. We discussed our planned arrival time, which was late at night (between 9-10pm). Dominique then said that she would leave all the lights on for us, so we didn’t have to arrive in the dark. The house was very easy to find, especially during the day because of the paintings on it! The bed options worked fantastic for our group (3 moms and a total of 6 kids ages 10-15)! We really enjoyed the ability to come back to the home and rest between the schedules. The kids absolutely loved the home space and feel. The crokinole board and the Boggle were well used. It was our first Air B’n’B experience for the whole group and it was exceptionally positive. Thank you!

We enjoyed staying here. We appreciated that there was a full size fridge and a spacious living room area that was separate from the bedroom. The place was mostly clean, but some things, especially the bathroom floor and mirror, were a bit dusty, so a cleaner bathroom would have been nice. Also, in going around to the back yard to the Airbnb private entrance, we did have to pass clothes and towels laying in the mud, which made the entrance to the Airbnb look untidy and less welcoming. Also, it is the basement of a house, so we could sometimes hear distant noises from upstairs, but nothing disruptive or distracting. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and this was a great, affordable place to stay on our trip to Canada.

We were very pleased with our stay. The cabin is adorable with plenty of space around it. After reading a few reviews about the train tracks being so close I was a little concerned about safety and noise. Once we arrived I noticed that safety was not an issue as a river (stream) is located between the property and the tracks. The train runs through frequently but it didn't have a negative impact on our stay and we live in the country with no trains. Randy was very pleasant to work with and I can't say enough good things about our stay. it was a perfect fit!

Our family with a baby and 5 year old had a great time :) we love gimli, and staying somewhere so close to all the action was great for us. We were able to walk everywhere, see the lake, this would be the perfect place in the summer being so close to the water. The absolute one and ONLY thing I would suggest is maybe adding in a foldable crib/ playpen for babies, because this place is the perfect place for families with kids. We had to bring our baby’s bassinet with us which wasn’t 100% ideal. Other than that Nancy and her husband were so nice, the house is so cozy and clean and they literally had everything you’d need! Even condiments in the fridge and spices for food! I loved the cozy throw blankets as well, so perfect for a movie night in :) would definitely stay here again and for long periods of time. The place was excellent! Furniture was a little bit ratty and torn, and pillows were covered in plastic, but otherwise it was an awesome space in a great location. I stayed with my 2 sisters, we each had our own big bedroom and toilet. We had a fantastic time and loved the house!

Great for a couple ‘s weekend escape. Highly recommended!

Nice stay.We stayed the end of August/beginning of september. Don't forget to pack jackets because it may get a little chilly while fishing early/late hrs of the day. Caught pike, bass and small crayfish( that we released) from the dock using worms, minnows, weiners as bait. My family members were able to swim and kayak/conoe during the day. ( the water is 10 + feet deep) There was occassional boat traffic in the middle part of the lake which sent waves our direction that made me a little nervous) The house felt comfortable and was adequetly furnished and had good storage. Areas to improve: - I forgot to mention this to Joy because we brought out own, but in the shower there was no shampoo but only liquid hand soap. - One of the picture windows and the window in the dining room didn't have curtains so I covered them with sheets - Dishwasher didn't drain fully so we hand washed the dishes after the first load. Overall it was a good stay. Owner was very responsive and helpful
