It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath raised A-Frame in the NE Poconos lake region, about 2-2.5 hours from NYC. We are in a private gated lake and amenity filled community called The Hideout, located in Lake Ariel, PA.

A lovely spot to relax in the rural countryside. Enjoy the fresh country air and observe the neighboring livestock. 6 miles to Lake Wallenpaupack. Nearby hiking trails at Lacawac Sanctuary, Schumans point and Varden conservation . Horseback riding at Why-Not riding stable. Antique shops and boutiques in historic Hawley and Honesdale. Under 30 miles to Montage Mountain Resorts, Elk Mountain, Ski Big Bear and Shawnee Mountain Ski Area. All bedrooms are on 2nd floor. Full bath on 1st floor.

During the daytime, enjoy long walks in our private community and take advantage of the private ski and snow tube hill, golf course, arts center, pool, lakefront beach and clubhouse. Lake Ariel, Lake Wallenpaupack and the nearby town of Hawley offer wonderful restaurants, breweries, spas, boutique shops, boating, fishing, and other fun family activities.

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. it is a peaceful and restful spot. If you need solace to work on your writing or reading you will love it. We have many historic sites near like the National Train Museum, or Dorflinger Glass museum. If you like hiking there are the Heritage trails and more. The Pocono Brewing Company, Wallenpaupack Brewing Company and The Runaway Train Brewing Company are all fun places to eat and drink. We look forward to seeing you.

The Little Hayloft is a newly renovated small one bedroom apartment in the heart of downtown historic Honesdale. Years ago, it was actually once a hayloft above a three horse stable before the invention of automobiles! Just a few blocks from Main Street Honesdale and walking distance to the historic heart of Honesdale, you will find plenty of great food and drink, shopping, art and antiques and much more charm that the little lovely town of Honesdale, PA has to offer!
