I needed a place to just unwind and relax for a couple of days. I was looking for a place that was quiet, peaceful, surrounded by nature, scenic, and go fishing! This place was all of the above and then some. (There's also a very nice golf course just down the street) Mike and Sheryl make you feel right at home. They are both very friendly and kind. They kept their fridge stocked with drinks and breakfast foods. There is also a coffeemaker, microwave, and toaster in the common/kitchenette area. I even caught my biggest catfish off their brand new dock! (5lbs). I will definitely be back for another stay. I highly recommend staying at Mike & Sheryl's lake side house.

I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place!!! This house was gorgeous and very well-kept! The owners thought of everything that travelers may need. They also had various snacks, movies, and games for the children. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful. The owners have bird feeders up, so it was really nice getting to see all the birds flying around the backyard. There were so many beautiful cardinals and we saw 1 blue jay. Stephanie and Jan were such friendly and amazing people! Whatever we needed, they always answered quickly. The home was very comfortable and we had such a good stay! We were even allowed to have visitors! Most of the Airbnbs that we have stayed at did not allow visitors, so it was nice to be able to have our family over. We will definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our quick weekend getaway, this place is truly a gem! I loved the vintage lake house decor/feeling, we felt right at home. The views are beautiful, the property itself is very well maintained, loved the landscaping and the big beautiful trees! It was so nice to just walk out and hop in the lake, rinse off and hop in the hot tub later, with views through the whole cabin! My fiancé enjoyed golfing near by, we cooked and ate our meals on the patio, and enjoyed the scenery. We were more than comfortable for our entire stay. Communication was great, and they stocked us up with water, snacks, and a bottle of wine - even had a pot of coffee made on our arrival. Grateful we were able to stay here! We will absolutely be back!

My best friend and I had the most amazing stay at this cozy, artsy Airbnb in the heart of the Bishop Arts District! The space was peaceful, beautifully decorated, and full of charm. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after exploring. We loved being able to walk to all the great restaurants, shops, and nightlife — but some of our favorite moments were just relaxing on the deck with a cup of coffee, soaking in the quiet. If you’re looking for the perfect mix of energy and relaxation, this is it. We can’t wait to come back!

I stayed at this Airbnb for a few days while on a business trip. The place looks just like the pictures. One of the most important factors I look for is cleanliness and safety, and this place delivered on both. No complaints.

My husband and I stayed at Pamela’s place when we were visiting the area and had an amazing time! The property was peaceful and beautiful and I loved the decor and attention to every detail in the space. We also fell in love with Pamela’s cat, roadie! We hope to visit again soon!

We loved the lakeside cabin! So cozy especially with all the rain! My husband and brother-in-law really enjoyed being able to step out the back door to go fishing. Close to Canton and several other really cute Texas towns for antique hunting, great restaurants, etc. We will definitely go again!!

We would definitely stay here again. Lovely people and an excellent place to recharge after a day out on the lake.

5-Star Stay at the Perfect Fishing Getaway! We had an amazing stay at this cozy two-room cottage on Lake Athens! It was the perfect spot for a fishing getaway. The dock was ideal for tying up our boat, making it easy to head out early in the morning or relax on the water in the afternoon. The sunsets over the lake were absolutely stunning—something we looked forward to every night as we sat on the porch and reminisced. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking up fresh meals, and the outdoor smoker was a fantastic bonus for preparing some delicious meals. The friendly neighbors even shared a few great fishing spots with us, which made our trip even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a peaceful lakeside retreat with great fishing, beautiful views, and all the comforts of home, this is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

This was our third stay at the cottage. Their place is just outside of town. It is quiet and peaceful, but you can be in town in a few minutes. Everything you need for a short stay is there and the hosts are very helpful and welcoming.

everything was just as described! caught a few bass the first day/evening! lost more lures than I want to count - excellent pond overall! house was awesome and cozy! property was awesome overall! Will be staying with the kids next time - this was our anniversary trip.

Cindy is a fabulous host!! She is extremely responsive and just a very kind & gracious person! My son (a recent college grad) stayed at the cottage for 2 months while completing an internship. Cindy checked in with us periodically & insured check in & check out went smoothly. The cottage is very cute & had everything needed for the extended stay. I have never seen an Airbnb where the kitchen was so well equipped with utensils etc. & it is easy to find things when needed. The property is very tranquil & a great place to relax. Also the WiFi works very well & the AC is fantastic which was very important for a stay in June/July!! Just an excellent experience! We will return the next time we need to stay in Kennard/Crockett!

The cottage is super cute and convenient for any activities in the downtown area. They have done an amazing job of of utilizing all the areas in the cottage and decorated very thoughtfully.

It was so much more than the description. The kitchen is completely furnished so easy to cook for ourselves. Laundry room was convenient We really felt welcome when we saw little vases of fresh roses and irises, lovely. Morning Coffee outside on the deck was a real treat in April for an ALASKAN.. This beautiful home made us feel comfortable staying in all day, or going out on the town...very peaceful.

The cottage was the perfect stay for us! It’s a good size for two, well stocked, and in a great location. Shauna was an excellent and responsive host who addressed any questions we had very quickly. Great location with proximity to restaurants, shops, and easy access to other North Dallas cities. We would definitely stay here again!

Lisa and Laura’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway!! The cottage was absolutely adorable (the decor was lovely) and had such a nice view. Everything was super clean and nice! The record player was one of our favorite parts, we even played some records we bought at trade days. We loved it everything. Thank you Lisa and Laura!

The Sage Street Cottage is conveniently located nearby the Bowery. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for the four of us. Rhonda and Marty are terrific host and accommodating with our parking needs. Overall, thumbs up.
