We had a wonderful time a the Scenic skies unit. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had such a warm and cozy atmosphere. The little touches they added made us feel at home and appreciated. The location was fantastic and close to everything. It was a perfect space to relax and recharge. Kirby & Taryn are lovely hosts and were very very responsive to any questions we may have had. We highly recommend!

Very accurate description. Good/clean amenities. Fully equipped kitchen to make some small meals. Available beach gear in the garage was very helpful as we had 2 young children on the trip. About 10 minute stroll to the beach. Walking distance to local diner and playground down the street.

My two children and I really loved staying here. It was clean, spacious and affordable for a getaway on spring break. I love that everything we needed to feel at home was provided. My 10 year old loved the fire pit and would build us a fire every night. The washer/dryer was convenient so that we could wash our clothes when needed. We also love that they had speakers throughout for music, access to Netflix and lots of board games to play! Overall, amazing experience.

This ancestral home was such a beautiful place away from home. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Everything was super clean. Lots of games. The description from the hosts is exactly what you get. I appreciated the honesty on their part. I will look into their list of properties for future stays. Great team! For your information: As said in the description, there is a train and it's very close to the house so you hear the alarms for it. It passes multiple times per day and per night and a lot of them also use their horns (even if they are mot supposed to). But the hosts provided each room with sound machines that helped our stay be more enjoyable and even forget about the train most of the time. (The kids loved the train). Since it's an ancestral house, it's on the colder side (we went in January), but there were a lot of extra blankets so we could stay cozy. Bring your sweaters and slippers.

The location was perfect, offering a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to everything we wanted to explore. Overall, this stay exceeded our expectations, and we would absolutely love to return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

Place was amazing everything that was listed was there the amenities were great. They stock the bathrooms. Just walk in with your toothbrush and you’re good to go. Kirby and everyone was spectacular. Will definitely go back again very attentive.

Stayed for a weekend to see the Notre Dame game. Was exactly what my group and I needed. Quiet neighborhood. Close to the train and beach.

My wife and I stayed here four our anniversary and loved it. We enjoyed the decorations in the apartment, it felt like being in your own little museum. The location was excellent, right in the downtown area with plenty of local restaurants within walking distance, our favorite was Royale With Cheese. It was easy to get to and a central location for all the things we were looking to do. If you are in La Porte it is a great place to stay! Also, if in La Porte check out the La Porte Historical Society Museum, it had lots of very cool local history and the staff is super friendly.

Lovely and cozy place to stay. I felt right at home. The host was friendly and responsive. I especially enjoyed the restaurants and thrift shops near by. My favorite is the Italian restaurant a couple doors down and the consignment shop on the bottom floor. The dunes beach and light house was the main reason I came to visit. I enjoyed it so much that I plan to be back with the kiddos.

Jen’s loft was a 10 out of 10! An unusual but creative idea to put an Airbnb in an antique store, out in the country down a very quiet road. Loved it! The setup and design was impressive and she definitely has the knack of decorating to make you feel at home. Up the steps to the loft there is an open living room/bedroom that has a very comfortable king size bed and the bathroom has a nice size shower and soft water. There is a small frig and coffee maker in the loft but also a full size kitchen downstairs. Everything you need! We enjoyed a walk on her property past the flower garden out to the pond. Plenty of wildlife to see, Sandhill cranes and deer along with all their rescue animals. Her antique store is outstanding, the way she displays all her items, so much fun shopping there! She and her parents are super nice people and awesome hosts!

Stayed for a concert in Hammond in quite place with a little street noise did t really stay in then place all that much due to the concert but what we seen was really clean and comfortable beds. Nice location.

Lisa was an amazing host! The location was great right on the lake and the space had everything we needed. I highly recommend staying with her!

My wife and I stayed with our 4 kids aged 2-10. The house was great, the neighborhood was great, the beach within walking distance was great. We also had a good time using the yard toys in the shed and the outdoor picnic tables with our family that came over to dinner. We'd book here again.

Carlo’s accommodation was perfect for our group. Comfortable and great kitchen. We made use of the shared patio. We were on a golf trip in the area with a larger crew and the location and Airbnb itself was perfect for our stay. Thanks Carlo!

Everything about the property was great. It’s quaint, very clean, super comfortable bed, great linens (I could smell the cleanliness on them like they’d just come out of the dryer). Bathroom was and nice. I could not find any fault in this property at all.

Beautiful space (just like the photos) and easy check in/check out process. My friends and I wanted a peaceful getaway not too far away from Chicago, and we had a wonderful experience. Carlo is very responsive and will stay here again.

Fantastic stay for any type of personal whether you are outdoors or someone who enjoys curling up with a good book. The amenities accommodated everything you could want to do
