Great spot to go with friends and family. They have a water park, arcade, mini golf, and an ice cream place. We had a fun time at this resort and would definitely do it again!

This was one of the best stays my family and I have had! The barn itself is beautiful, but what my boys enjoyed the most was the property. We got lucky with a beautiful 50° December day. We walked the trails, threw rocks in the pond and went on scavenger hunts. Highly recommend staying here!

The home is spacious and comfortable and an ideal location for us as we planned day trips for hiking at Starved Rock and Mathieson State Parks. We had a couple of questions and reached out to Tom, who answered quickly. A binder with info on nearby attractions and restaurants was helpful. There were a couple of minor issues which I will report to Tom privately as I'm sure he will address them for the comfort of future guests. This is a 5-star place and we would book it again when in the area.

We absolutely loved our stay. The house is beautiful and immaculately kept. The kitchen was well stocked and there were tons of towels in each room. The beds were cozy and the heat adjusted quickly. The two highlights were (1) the beautiful deck overlooking the river, where we saw a bald eagle and sandhill cranes migrating and (2) the game room, where we enjoyed family games of pool and poker. The house was 15 minutes from Starved Rock and 2 minutes from a grocery store, so the location was super convenient as well.

The place was exactly what we were looking for, to get away and do some spring hiking. Vanessa was great with communication.

This is a great spot to stay if you are hiking Starved Rock- we walked over to STL Canyon trail. Found our host to be very accommodating, it’s very spacious and clean- and I loved the jetted tub after hiking!

The home was missing a few necessities but the owner was responsive and brought the items within the hour.
