The Haven on The Virginia Creeper Trail

Located on the Virginia Creeper bike trail, we are only a 20 min. drive from the summit of beautiful Whitetop Mtn. If hiking and biking are your thing, this is the place to stay, as we are 3 miles from the Appalachian Trail, and a 20 min. drive to Grayson Highlands state park. Downtown Damascus is a 25 min. drive, and Abingdon is 40 minutes. Both towns have cute shops, restaurants, coffee, parks, and antique stores. Bristol is located approx. 50 min. from our home, and Boone, NC about an hour.

Located less than 10 minutes drive to Damascus and the famous Virginia Creeper Trail! If you love hiking, three additional trails: Laurel Creek, Gentry Creek Falls, and the Appalachian trail are all within a few miles of our lovely home. Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt. Rogers Recreational Area, Backbone Rock, Abingdon VA, and Boone, NC all make easy day trips. *Note: the Creeper Trail from WhiteTop to Damascus was destroyed by hurricane Helen. The 2nd half, from Damascus to Abingdon is open.

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

Welcome to the historic Abingdon Donkey Lodge, a farm stay on the Creeper Trail. We're waterfront too, and have sweet, fuzzy donkeys to pet. Your stay includes the upstairs of our beautiful home: 2 huge bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a dining area, and a balcony. (Your hosts live downstairs, so we share an entrance.) No kitchen or laundry access. We host up to 4 guests ages 12 and over. No pets, please. Two parking spaces. Please read all details before booking. Cats may visit you. NO CLEANING FEE.

Bears can sometimes be seen crossing the road or strolling thru the fields Damascus and Mountain City are only minutes away! Our place offers a big yard to enjoy along with a fire pit with firewood furnished. Cornhole and board games are also available. A nice sitting area on the covered back porch to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The RiverHouse is walking distance to downtown, the creeper trail and Appalachian trail. Bird watching, fishing, bonfires, grilling, hot tub, kayaking, tubing, tent camping, bike riding.. there’s opportunity for it all on the property. Stay and play in the backyard by the river or explore the town of Damascus and all its charm!

Deer Run Cottage

Nestled in Doe Valley, this centrally located home offers quick access to many attractions. Damascus, VA—"Trail Town USA"—is just 10 minutes away, home to the Virginia Creeper and Appalachian Trails. Boone, NC, one of the best western NC towns, is only 35 minutes south. The home features 4 bedrooms (2 with king beds) and plenty of space for families. Enjoy day hikes in Cherokee National Forest, Doe Mountain rec park, or try your hand at trout fly fishing in nearby streams.

The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain

The Bungalow is a cozy not-so-tiny home at 420 sq ft. A 16x20 Gothic Arched building designed and built by the owner. Besides a fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, and comfortable sleeping quarters, you will find wonderful amenities outside! Views of mountains, pasture, and woods. Relax in a hammock or tell your secrets to Drifter the horse. Often Mr Groundhog or the Deer family will visit, too. The Bungalow at Grandpa's Mountain is a quiet getaway.

Hear the sounds of the creek right behind the cabin and cross the bridge to see the horses! This Land was home to the Cherokees and offers not only a place to stay but an experience. One time PET FEE $90.00 for ONE dog, additional dogs $35/each
