A lovely home from home cottage with all amenities you'll ever need. Even provided stairs gates and a high chair upon request. Great location to explore the area and having a pub within 1 minute walk is a bonus!

Really enjoyed our stay here, remote place and a lot of privacy. Cabin was very nicely decorated, really loved the Easter theme. Host was lovely and really made sure we knew what to do and where to go

Had a short stay at Barley Croft lodge. Ray was great he rang to check if everything was ok with our lodge and was very polite and helpful. The lodge is in lovely surroundings with lots to do locally. It was ideal for our 1 year old daughter who could wander on the veranda safely and look at the two donkeys in the adjacent field. The lodge has everything you need and is close by the villages of Melbourne and Breedon have places to visit. An all around great experience. Thank you Ray.

Just finished a lovely couple of days stay with our two teen girls and dogs. Well fitted out and very clean cabin with comfy beds and linen. Great space to relax and unwind with fab restaurants and shops within the Marina. Rob is a great host providing loads of info plus additionally going above and beyond when our car had a fault guiding us to a garage locally who fixed the problem the next day! We’ll be back!

A great host, very fast responses to our very late notice booking, everything was ready for us within a hour of booking. Super clean and comfortable house with great facilities, perfect for a 3 generation family break. Would recommend and would be happy to stay again. We had a lovely nite away for my birthday, it was just what we was looking for. It was so nice and relaxing. The surroundings was just perfect. The only thing we would say is the hedge in front off the lodge could be cut down abit so you can see a lot more. We would recommend this to family/friends.

Hotel standard bedrooms and bathrooms. Very convenient location near Trent Bridge. Living area and kitchen all good quality, although we didn't need these this time.

We’re a family of 5 and were staying at Lesley’s house for our daughter’s graduation. The house was perfect for our multi generations and we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. I would highly recommend staying in South Croxton.

Another excellent and very comfy stay for the two nights we were there. The Wren is in a beautiful location and we made the very most of it during our very short stay. We had come to Burton from Somerset to attend a funeral and the the location of the Wren not only shortened our journey to the Crematorium but also provided a perfect location for a beautiful walk afterwards to help us get over our loss.
