we had a wonderful stay at the cottage. very calm place, well furnished. Rita had so nice attentions for us ❤️ and her usband was also very kind with good communication. you have pubs, oil station and supermarket very close to the cottage by car. i recommend this place and these hosts.

Amazing value! Kathleen's cottage was beautiful, well equipped and very clean! We loved the chess board and other games. Kathleen even had a fire lit ready for our arrival, and had a chilled bottle of wine waiting for us as a birthday present in the fridge! Would recommend to anyone, and will definitely be back again :)

Desperate for break from the hustle and bustle of Dublin there was one place that immediately came to mind: The villa in Mullingar run lovingly by Deirdre. This was our third stay with Deirdre and it certainly will not be our last. With each visit we find something new to delight us. During this visit we were particularly taken with Deirdre’s eclectic collection of fine art. As always, the food was to die for. The Michelin quality dining experience — so unexpected in the Midlands — is a must for any visit. Deirdre is a top quality chef in addition to a gracious hostess! We also continue to find interesting places to visit all within an easy drive from the villa. During this trip, we explored the monastic site at Clonmacnoise. If you want a peaceful getaway in a beautiful setting with fabulous food and the most interesting of hosts you can’t go wrong staying at Deirdre’s villa.

I stayed at Dave and Susana's beautiful AirBnB this weekend with my partner and 2 friends. The accommodation was gorgeous - we loved our stay. The hosts were friendly and very welcoming - we would definitely return.

Comments from our stay (parents with adult kids): We loved it! Living history, Really freaking cool, Comfortable beds. Quite spacious. Cozy, Must have good knees! Neighbouring cows herded home in the evenings, A treat to watch birds from the battlements, (Metallic sounds referenced earlier likely are radiators) Easy communication and good instructions from hosts. State of the architecture 1400’s, updated to beautifully habitable in the 2000’s. Thank you for allowing us the share a slice of your local history. Each of us truly enjoyed staying here.

Staying in Martina and John‘s cottage was one of the highlights of our travels through Ireland. They were both so warm and welcoming and helpful in procuring reservations during a very busy time. Each morning the most delicious picnic basket was delivered to our door. What a treat! Hard, boiled egg, granola, homemade bread (baked by John), croissant, yogurt and to top it off a French press coffee.Martina’s warmth and enthusiasm made us feel as though we had made new friends! We do hope to return one day!

Words can’t describe our stay with Rachel! We stayed in Cloughjordan for a month and it was perfect. Such a cute village and area. It was an amazing location to drive to nearby towns and villages with plenty to do. Rachel and her family were absolutely amazing and so welcoming. It was a perfect stay and we cannot wait to come back!

I stayed here for a week as I was working in Limerick City and didn't want to stay in a hotel. The perfect home from home. All the essentials for cooking and there was also a range of cereals supplied. Very relaxing location with some friendly hens! Eilis was the perfect host and even had a hot water bottle waiting for me for my late arrival.
