My family and I LOVED the place, the peaceful surroundings, the Drakensberg mountain VIEW, the vintage style in the property. And having a very responsive host as well - made it easier for us to check-in. We are definitely coming back.

La cabaña superó ampliamente nuestras expectativas, y ha acabado siendo nuestro alojamiento favorito del viaje. Sin duda, está mucho más equipado de lo que muestran las fotos. Todos los espacios están aprovechados, y la sensación acaba siendo de amplitud. No echamos nada en falta, y nos habríamos quedado más de las tres noches que disfrutamos del lugar. Los anfitriones son muy amables y atentos, y te pueden ayudar con recomendaciones de actividades locales. Altamente recomendable.

The cottage is very comfortable, homely and in a beautiful setting. Equipped with all one needs for a weekend away. The driveway is difficult to spot and not particularly well used so a little confusing, but once there we had a fabulous time. Thanks so much xx

We were sad to leave as the place is stunning. Needs a fan in the rooms for those hot days, especially in the loft.

An unforgettable stay at Hamstead Farm Eco and Pet-Friendly Cottage! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking mountain views and the abundance of birds and wildlife all around us—it truly felt like a peaceful escape into nature. Dianna was an exceptional host, always available with helpful suggestions for events and activities happening in the area, which made our stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Aathol as well, who went above and beyond by assisting us when we had trouble with a flat wheel—such kindness and hospitality made us feel right at home. The cottage itself was spotless, with top-notch facilities in excellent condition. Every little detail was thoughtfully taken care of, ensuring we had a comfortable and relaxing stay. We highly recommend Hamstead Farm to anyone looking for a serene getaway with warm, welcoming hosts. We can’t wait to visit again!

We absolutely loved our time at Bianca’s place! The location of the home is spectacular, right next to the lake and very private. The home is spacious, clean and has everything you could require in terms of amenities. We had a lovely, relaxing family holiday here!

A very special place to stay! Absolutely wonderful location with the river in walking distance. Beautiful pools to swim in at the river - great for all different ages of children. Right in the mountains- lovely hikes to do. All together a very worthwhile stay, especially with families!!

Penwarn farm lodge is breathtaking. The views are to die for. Kate's place had all amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Her check-in instructions were detailed with great recommendations. However, the road once inside Penwarn farm is not suitable for a sedan or small car when it is raining even with new tires like our car had. There was a bit of rain and our car slid all over and almost hit the wall inside the farm. It would be great if stones or gravel could be added to the dangerous areas before an accident occurs, otherwise as it is, it needs a 4x4 when it rains. Apart from that, we had an excellent stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would book this place again, albeit with a 4x4 😎.

What a lovely cottage in a beautiful place! The house was clean and as shown in the pictures with everything needed for a lovely weekend away. It was easy to find with the directions provided and Santie was a most accommodating host. Thank you so much for having us
