Great in the trees home. It was a great last minute find that made our mountain trip lovely. Very good location for hiking and boating along Lake Glenville.

This was a very cute, cozy and rustic spot. The host had all the necessities supplied and I felt very welcomed as soon as I arrived. The rural setting was very peaceful and I even had a daily parade of wild turkeys to enjoy. The weather was VERY cold during my visit, but I was still able to enjoy a walk down by the Cullasaja River - which was about 1/4 mile away. I plan to come back again soon!

Extremely tasteful, beautiful and relaxing home! The amenities included everything one would need for your stay. The art, the amazing books and all the accoutrements for a grand sit down meal (prepared in a gourmet kitchen) were there. Loved the walk-in closets and available space for your clothes and items. We highly recommend you stay in this beautiful home.

Absolutely wonderful! It was just my husband and I, but this place would be awesome for families or several couples. Lots of room, fun games, well stocked. The views are incredible - so peaceful and relaxing while staring at the mountains and the lake. Highly recommend!

The place is even nicer than the pictures. It's a beautiful retreat in the woods with lots of natural light. There are plenty of places inside and out to enjoy being alone or gathering with family and friends. It's kept very clean, well stocked with everything you need to cook and lots of linens and towels. The multiple fans and a/c make it comfortable on hot days. The walk down to the fire pit or the man cave by the creek is steep, but not difficult. You can drive up and down easily as well. It's only a few minutes from so many things to do. But if you sit on the screened in porch and watch the hawks and the cows grazing across the road, It's hard to want to leave. It's perfect for couples wanting privacy or families with children that need plenty of space to play in. What a true gem!

I have never stayed at a more well stocked rental. If you forgot anything, no worries, she probably has it in the house! Joan left some very thoughtful, personal touches like having the heated blanket turned on for me when I arrived, a bowl of treats, etc. My favorite part is a tie between the gorgeous claw foot soaking tub which I used every night, and the beautiful view of the mountains from a large picture window. The location was really beautiful, and had a grocery store and multiple gas stations within a few miles of the house. The only thing that kept it from being perfect, was the spotty wifi, which is understandable in the mountains, but all the lighting was hooked to Google, so Google either didn't understand, or the wifi kept failing for the commands. It just seemed it took 5x as long to turn on a lamp, than simply turning the switch. I ended up unhooking the one in the bedroom during my stay. I would highly recommend this rental, and Joan is an amazing host.

Views were amazing! The driveway to get to the house is steep but well worth it. Great location to downtown. Beautiful house with bedrooms and bathrooms on each floor. Would recommended! Plan to come back next year

We had the loveliest girls weekend in Highlands NC. Lei's place was a great mountain house, very close to town and in a quiet setting. It was easy to find and easy to access. Immaculate and very pretty decor. We did not walk to town, but it's a quick 2 minute drive. Everyone was very comfortable, and the house had everything we needed. We would love to come back for another stay.

Don and Renie are top notch hosts! They have thought of everything to make your stay perfect-snacks, drinks, comfortable mattresses, ample towels, games, and even a frozen pizza in the fridge! Their mountaintop rental has a beautiful view of WCU campus with comfortable outdoor spaces for soaking in the peaceful surroundings. Don has excellent local recommendations and is a great source of information regarding Western Carolina University. We felt so incredibly welcome! We’ll be back!

I absolutely loved my stay at this charming little house! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The space is thoughtfully decorated, very clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Both rooms are cozy and quiet, perfect for a good night's sleep or just relaxing with a book. The living area and kitchen are well-equipped, and the natural light throughout the house creates such a peaceful atmosphere. It was the ideal place to unwind after exploring the area. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, offering great local tips and making sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with a small family, this house is a little gem. I'd love to come back again soon!

Sunset and Chica were amazing hosts! They were friendly, informative, and extremely helpful as we were hiking the AT. Laundry facilities, loaner clothes, and shuttles into town were available. The shower was incredible. Can not overstate the hospitality shown to us. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay in a peaceful location close to downtown Franklin, look no further! Up a quaint, winding road, nestled in the trees is a wonderful two bedroom ground level apartment waiting just for you. Once you arrive you will be warmly greeted by your hosts Dave, Barb & Beans who are always available but never intrusive. Their view is wonderful! The property exactly as described. You Can’t ask for more! And I can’t wait to go back!

We loved so much about this stay! View is wonderful and the porch is comfortable to sit and relax. Bald eagle spotted on Day 1. We enjoyed the fireplace!! Tom and Carol are wonderful hosts and went above and beyond expectations. They even replaced the grill in case we wanted to use it. The place is a lot bigger and spread out than I imagined. They have everythingyou need. Some fyi things ....they have robes to use if you wish (one less thing to pack!), the shower is adequate but small and has an overhead spray so if you don't want to wash your hair, bring a shower cap. Someone previously mentioned no windows in the bedroom.... but I loved how this made it completely dark, so no need to bring an eye mask. It was so nice to sleep in! 🙂 We loved our stay, as well as the hosts and would stay again. Thank you gracious hosts for the 5 star experience!!

This was a lovely cozy place to stay in the NC mountain. It was close to town and Colleen was a great host. Would definitely stay here again!!

The property is fantastic and the best location in Highlands, but Bill’s responsiveness as a host takes this to the next level. We look forward to our next visit!

Holly was extremely responsive and helpful. The cottage was much cuter and cozier than the photos depict. It was very quiet and tucked away in the beautiful NC mountains. The parking spot is a little short, but our minivan did fit. The road to the cottage is dirt and could be a little challenging for a small low riding vehicle. We did not have problems. We love the country so we took these things in stride. She had many small additions that made arrival and the stay special like caramels, tea, and coffee choices. You could tell by these additions and her exemplary communication that she wanted our stay top notch! We would highly recommend this cottage.

We came for a wedding that was in the community so this was perfect! Beautiful views on the golf course, close drive to cashiers, comfortable home and we felt safe! Would definitely recommend this place!

Great little cozy condo! Well appointed kitchen so we cooked a few meals. Great location that was close to town. Firewood was furnished by the owners. Would rent again!

We stayed a week with our dogs. The duplex is located right next to a beautiful creek. The deck had everything we needed to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The cabin itself is spotless and comfortable with all the essentials. Sasha is the best host. Great communication and very helpful.

If you are looking for a mountain cabin get away vibe, this is the place! It was beautiful, clean, much bigger than I expected and cozy at the same time. The huge porch is the piece de resistance - when you lie down in the comfy porch swing, you feel like you are in a tree house. I would definitely recommend and will rebook if I am back in Cashiers again.
