We stayed a week in January 2025, and this is now our go-to first choice place to stay when visiting family in Athens. Easy, relaxing, peaceful, clean, lots of space. It made our week so much more relaxing than staying in a hotel.

This house is a great place for a family gathering. We had 14 people and plenty of space. We were here at Christmas and it is very quiet at the lake that time of year. Since we were planning mainly to stay in and visit, we were happy but it is worth noting that there is not a lot to do in the area other than activities on the lake. For planning purposes, it takes about 20 minute to get to the grocery.

This unit was perfect. Very clean and nicely furnished and very, very peaceful in the big back yard. An easy 10 minute ride into downtown. Host was very responsible and easy to deal with. Thanks for a great stay!

Susan is a wonderful host with a beautiful home and a spectacular view of Hartwell Lake. You won’t regret selecting this property!

A few hooks added to the bathrooms for towels would be great!

Kevin’s house was in a great location, was extremely clean and had lots of space for our group. He was responded quickly to questions we had and check in/out was easy. We would definitely stay here again our next time in Athens.

I am a consultant working on a project here in Hartwell and stayed at Dan's place for 4 months. Dan is an absolutely amazing host. He is communicative, attentive, and ALWAYS very quick to respond. The place is beautiful, clean, quiet, and comfortable. I had no issues feeling at home the entire time I was staying here. I will look to book here first when I come back to Hartwell later this year. We had a weekend stay for a friend’s wedding in downtown Monroe. This is such a cute little space. We greatly enjoyed seeing the chickens as well!

The place is wonderful and feels new, actually I think it is. Everything was clean and well maintained. The layout of the apartment was really good. The only thing I think should be changed is the checkout time; 10:00 am is really early, maybe 12:00 pm will be a better time. Also, to have a Publix so close is wonderful. If you appreciate rustic history this is the place for you. The updating and modernization was just enough to be completely comfortable but also appreciate how old the house was that we were staying in. Yvonne was great and stayed in contact with us in case we had an issue finding the property (which we did not), and even had some bread from a local bakery waiting for us. The place was close enough town to enjoy all that Athens has to offer but also be able to enjoy the quiet Georgia countryside.

Our stay at this A-frame cabin was absolutely perfect. The space is beautifully designed, with great attention to detail and a fully equipped setup that made our experience seamless. Every corner felt intentional and inviting. The hosts, Thomas & Morgan, were incredibly communicative and made sure everything was smooth from start to finish. We truly appreciated their hospitality. This is a place we would absolutely return to, highly recommend!

Great place to stay. I asked if they had a waffle maker and they said no. But before we arrived, they added one to the items available for use! What a great host and great place.

This cabin was perfect for my family to spend a few days for Thanksgiving! We truly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cabin, and we prepared a great Thanksgiving meal in the well-equipped kitchen. We also made use of the great card table upstairs. The wooded property was lovely, and we had hoped to use the inviting firepit, but it was windy most of the time. We hope to revisit this cabin soon!

Cozy country getaway! Jonah's place was the perfect amount of room for my fiancé and I. We were happy with everything that was included, especially the fresh eggs from their farm. We also enjoyed the fire pit as well. Jonah was very responsive and helpful. We would stay here again.

Perfect cabin for any fisherman wanting to stay close to Lake Russell. Owners have a great layout for charging your boat and driveway is very convenient for truck and boat hooked up. Cabin is very spacious inside and very clean. The owners are very helpful and respond quickly to anything that may come up or for just general information. I will be staying here again.

Spencer and Amy were super responsive for our change in guest count. The cabin was so cozy and perfect for a wedding guest weekend away!
