Was very inspired sitting in the garden. Even woke in the morning and sat in the. Window ledge with the window slightly open and took in the view and the sound of the water. Sitting in the garden and listening to the birds. Exploring the grounds. Even taking a cold plunge / shower in the waterfall beneath the bridge. Felt very inspired. The cottage was warm. Cosy. The only down side… we had to leave the next day. Definitely returning and I’m going to book my parents a stay there too. They would love it.

Had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the cottage on a working farm. It felt really peaceful but was also only a 5-10 min drive to Ruthin. We stayed here so we could go walking in the Clwydian Range, this was around a 15-20 min drive depending on which car park we wanted to start the walk from, but it was all perfect for us. We even found a short local walk from the cottage itself along a public footpath. The cottage was very well equipped, we used the kitchen each evening, and it was a lovely cozy space. The cottage was immaculate and we really enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the horses nearby. Richard and Ceri were lovely and welcoming hosts and we'd highly recommend the rural retreat.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We would definitely stay again and will be recommending our families and friends to stay.

Another lovely stay at the lodge, with multi generational family having downstairs bedroom/ bathroom making this accessible. Enjoyed evening hot tubs and card games in the conservatory. Nice day out to Llangollen and shopping in Shrewsbury. Thanks

This property is absolutely stunning. It’s clear Arlene has put a lot of love and thought into this as there is everything you could ever need, and then some. The hot tub is lovely, the furniture is very comfortable, and the area is very private and quiet. It’s easily accessible by bus or taxi from Stoke station. Could not recommend this place more!

We have just stayed at The Coach House and it was the absolute perfect getaway. The surroundings are stunning, such a picturesque area and beautiful and quiet. The garden area was amazing for our son to run around in and Steph and Marcus even allowed our son to play on a toy tractor I believe was one of their children’s, which he absolutely loved. The property was great, beautiful and rustic throughout but with beautiful modern touches, the bathroom was especially nice. Sun beaming through the window whilst getting ready in a morning was particularly nice. The hot tub was immaculate and clean and instructions were simple to follow, hosts had all of the wood prepared and ready for use aswell. Overall this has been one of my favourite stays. My family loved it and felt right at home. We went to Snowdon one day and Chester Zoo another, both within a short enough distance and the drive to Snowdon is particularly stunning. 10/10

Our weekend away was great, 100% would recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful time away. Jane was a lovely and wonderful host with experience behind her belt which shows through when giving the tour of the house and grounds. She handled everything that we needed with efficiency. The house was beautiful, the scenery was lovely, it was very peaceful and we will be definitely be booking it again down the line.

What a find!!! If you are thinking of booking this then do. As a party of three ladies getting together for belated birthday treat it was everything we wanted, and more. Beautiful, immaculate accommodation, peaceful surroundings and lovely hosts. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.

A beautiful, clean and spacious property just as described! We didn’t get a chance to explore the local area but visited Snowdon, Conwy and Llangollen, all within one hour and 15 mins drive. We had dinner one night at the Kings Head (5 min drive away) and the staff were really friendly and amenable. Tim, the host is very helpful and responsive!

We had a lovely stay. The house was spotless on arrival and the extras for breakfast were a really nice touch. The location on the canal was beautiful and we enjoyed the walk into Chester along the canal path. We visited both the Cheshire Cat and Ring O Bells in Christleton, both were a short walk from the cottage. The Sunday lunch at Ring O Bells was superb !! We would def recommend booking this airbnb for anyone visiting the area.

A huge 'diolch' to you Emma and Andrew for all you've done to make the Lock House such a great temporary home from home. We had an amazing 3-night stay full of walks, catching up with family, lovely meals and exploring the area. Bendigedig!

Philippa was the perfect host, friendly, approachable and couldn’t be more helpful. The house is beautiful and has lots of charm, the perfect cosy retreat for a mini break, and excellent value for money. I couldn’t rate it higher and will book again.

What a perfect stay! Jo’s place was lovely, it had everything you could need. Was quiet, peaceful, exactly as described. Jo’s guide to the place was so thorough and very helpful. We went on some lovely walks in the area - great location, can get to some really great spots without driving. Will come again :)

We absolutely loved our stay with Ruth. The cottage is very comfortable and cozy and has all the amenities you could need or want, but if you were missing something, I’m sure Ruth would get it for you! She and her husband were very friendly and we had a great time chatting with them. She gave us great recommendations for places to visit and places to eat. We feel like we’ve made lifelong friends and we definitely plan to come back!

Lovely cottage and area, we had a very peaceful stay over a long weekend with our dogs, enclosed gardens, parking directly outside, well equipped. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend to others.

Beautifully decorated cottage, which was immaculately clean on arrival. We’d been left groceries including local bread, milk, butter, eggs and a chocolate bunny as it was Easter, which was really thoughtful. The beds were made ready and there were plenty of towels. Lots of thoughtful extras including coffee, a cafetière, toiletries, also laundry and dishwasher tablets were included. The cottage is in a lovely location, just outside the village and surrounded by countryside. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Niall was very friendly and communicated well about check-in.

The hosts are fab, easy to contact and as this cottage has been in the family for generations it feels loved & cared for. It is NOT just a money maker, they want you to enjoy their old home….and we did

Great little cottage with every amenity (washing machine, dishwasher USB sockets etc etc) you need for a very comfortable stay. Nice design too. The enclosed yard is handy for dog owners.

Had a great couple of days here. The area was quiet and peaceful with beautiful views. Great walks with the added bonus of being able to return and use the hot tub. Our host, Michelle, was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful cottage, easy access, clear instructions from Christine. We settled in, then we had a greeting from Tony(Christine's husband) he gave us some helpful tips on places of interest to visit in the area. Super cottage, clean and well organised. Also, a nice sweet treat & a bottle of 🍾 on arrival. Nice touch! Dorbein Arms was well worth a visit for an evening meal. Would defo use again to explore more of the area.

We had an excellent stay at Rosemary’s comfortable and relaxing lodge. It’s in a picturesque area with scenic views and Rosemary was a welcoming and friendly host.

Just loved River Cottage, set in a beautiful location with fantastic views over the river. The cottage was spotlessly clean with everything you could wish for, really comfortable place to stay, would definitely return again. Hannah was a lovely host and easy to communicate with, we never experienced any problems at all.
