Laze for days in front of the massive fireplace, or venture out and explore. Start your holiday here on route to the coast or meet friends mid-way from JHB & Durban for a getaway or celebration, or a wedding at the little church just up the road. We also have 3 cottages, Woodlands and The Barn and The Old Barn. Please note - Winter 2026 - Pool will be empty.

Ideal for overnight stop when traveling the N3 or N5, or for a comfortable longer stay when visiting our area for business or leisure. Eastern Freestate charm is found in abundance around here!

During your stay you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Clarens has to offer and which is surrounded by the beautiful Maluti Mountains. Due to load shedding we have installed an inverter for your convenience as well as a tank to supply the house with water when the towns water pumps can’t pump due to load shedding

This Luxury, fully equipped, self catering cottage sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms, each with their own entrance. Close to the village centre but far enough away to experience the tranquility of its mountain hideaway. Luxury percale linen and soft towels are provided. Heating is in each bedroom for winter nights. The open plan living area has everything you need for a home away from home holiday. A little fireplace makes for cozy winter nights and outside areas are ideal for summer evenings.

Only 6 minutes drive from The Clarens Square and 26 restaurants, yet you can unwind completely in the peacefulness of the wind and sunshine. Lovely walks. Electric blankets and wood burning fires , fully equipped kitchen, 4.5 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms including one with 4 bunk beds. It's huge but homely.

Waterfall River Lodge

This is a unique, comfortable, fully kitted, self-catering house sleeping 8/10 people. Hidden in a quiet corner of our working farm it overlooks a pristine section of the Wilge River, with the famous waterfall and Nelson's Kop mountain providing spectacular scenery. Guests will be able to enjoy absolute peace, uninterrupted views and walks in almost every direction. Please note that the property is remote and the last 200m of the access road will require a high clearance vehicle.

Peach Trees Cottage Clarens

A beautiful cottage surrounded by peach trees and mountains - is situated in a secluded corner of Clarens, Free State, South Africa. This unique place has a style all its own. One bedroom en-suite apartment joined to a main house with self catering facilities. The living area is heated by a wood burning fire place and the bedroom en-suite has an air conditioner. Braai facilities on site as well as a Smart TV with DSTV and WiFi. Two to three kms from the centre of town, on a mountain side. It is the bottom level of a three storey house but completely private and not affected by loadshedding.
