Just a 7 minute walk to the popular Castlecliff beach for a swim or take a stroll along the black sandy beach, call into the Citadel for a meal or drink on the way home. Ohakune is an hours drive to enjoy the great walks or skiing. 4 square and laundromat close by

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Try trout fishing, a game of golf or visit the Waiouru Army Museum. Enjoy our cosy home with a wood fire whilst taking in the amazing mountain and rural views. Our place is good for couples and families (with kids) or small groups.

This new home is the ideal place to relax after a day skiing, hiking or biking. There are 2 living areas that share a double sided gas fire. Perfect for apres ski or a romantic evening in. Enjoy the sunset from the front deck or the fully fenced outdoor area with BBQ, seating and loungers. Relax and enjoy the view of the mountain from the hot tub. The Mangawhero River and cycle way are a 1 minute walk.

The Barn @ Wood Pigeon Lodge with hot tub

The Barn is a converted barn on four levels. The interiors are woody, rustic and warm with local historical artefacts decorating the walls. It is set in a peaceful, rural environment, nestled next to bush and looking out to grassy paddocks. Our wood-fired hot tub is available for your private use. Note you may have to heat this yourself, it takes about a couple of hours.

Midcentury Architectural Gem

Built in 1961, this architecturally designed house is light and bright and provides a very peaceful, private and relaxing setting. You’ll enjoy comfortable and stylish furnishings inkeeping with the era of the house. It has great views over the Whanganui surrounds and a lovely outlook towards the hills. On a clear day you can see Mt Taranaki.
