A pleasant stay. Everything was really easy, the hot tub was an added bonus. lovely location. communication with the host was really helpful. would recommend.

A hidden gem! We had a lovely long weekend here at the wonderful Stables - lots to do in the area, nice and peaceful with a range of local walks. Only 20 minutes on the train to Manchester - we will definitely be staying here again!

Just a little getaway after Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend and a must say what a gem of a place. Calm and peaceful surroundings with all the amenities you need inside the cottage, Cosy, Clean and beautiful, everything you need for a few days away to take your mind off things. The hot tub is a brilliant place after a long day to chill, relax and take your mind off everything that is going on. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful little place in the not too distant future. 👍

Great stay at the cottage! Loved the hot tub and shower and excellent location!

11 adults and one dog visiting and we all had a lovely time. Everything in the house was well thought out from the amount of cutlery and crockery to setting out special towels for the dog upon arrival. The location is superb with gorgeous scenery and great walks but also with a local town with well known shops for supplies. The hot tubs were a great feature and the large TVs made enjoying ourselves very easy! Would definitely recommend and even stay again.

The Old Barn is spacious and comfortable - just watch for some low hanging lights if you are tall! The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking. The hot tub is great and the whole place is private. There is a narrow, steep track to get down to the lodges, but the roads and parking on the site itself are good.

Booked Seamstress Cottage for a couple of nights for my mums 70th. A great stay from start to finish, Sarah went above and beyond adding birthday decorations for my mums 70th and the information/direction’s shared was clear and concise. Recommendations on nearby towns to visit were also given. The cottage was cosy, fully equipped and beds were super comfy. My mum expressed that it was the best nights sleep she had in a longtime. A real home from home Would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much Sarah! X

What a beautiful cottage, with great history. Love the fact file in the cottage of the hard work of this restoration project. Fantastic wild life surrounds the cottage and we were fortunate to book in lambing season, so got to see the lambs feeding and skipping right around the cottage. They were very intrigued with our little chihuahua. I never knew how inquisitive sheep are! We had a Chaffinch that is clearly very tame that landed on the kitchen door. The cottage itself is pristinely clean, the cleanest place we have stayed, it made me feel throughly spoilt and not have to clean before I settled in. The communication was excellent and the information of local things to do was fantastic. We did Teggs Nose, Macs Forest and Shutlingsloe circular walk and Shining Tor, Cats Tor and Errwood Hall Circular. There is so much more exploring we would like to do. We visited The Peak View Tea Rooms, Leather’s Smithy, and the Cat and Fiddle distillery. This cottage is certainly a walkers paradise.

We had a lovely stay at Hollowcowhey farm - the location is stunning set right in the middle of the Peak District. We enjoyed watching the lambs in the field, as well as spotting hares and birds, and walks from the doorstep. The barn was comfortable and warm. We also both worked remotely while there and the wifi was excellent. Thanks for a great stay!

Really loved our stay it was great! The house had great facilities, lovely and cosy living room, great location for lots of walks! Just a tip to taller people staying make sure you bend going through the front door as my partner bumped his head a few times - all other doorways are fine :)

Richard’s place was perfect for a long weekend family getaway. The house is cosy and welcoming, with everything you need. The location is a great base to explore the surrounding countryside and in easy walking distance of several pubs and cafes in the centre of Delph. We would more than happily stay here again in the future.

Wow! an amazing beautiful place. The hosts Jill and Sean were fantastic right from the start. Very helpful, and any questions we had they were very quick to respond. Beautiful home, very clean and everything we needed. The welcome basket was a beautiful treat. The whole experience was wonderful. We felt very spoilt. Highly recommend. Delightful period property but had all the modern conveniences we could need. It's location allowed lovely walks along the Mersey and through nearby woods. There is also an excellent chippy close by. Steve and Maggie were very responsive to all our questions. When we had an issue with the heating they came round immediately to solve. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely book again.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in the cottage which was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a nice open fire with plenty of logs. The location is perfect for walking as the trails to Kinder reservoir and other trails are right on your doorstep. There is a lovely pub a short walk away and the food is really good. James is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area, wished we could have stayed longer, but will definitely be back.

Tucked away down a quiet lane, Mimi’s cottage provides a comfortable and private space to get away from the hustle and bustle. Feels like you’re in the middle of the countryside but at the same time it’s within easy reach of Alderley Edge’s fashionable centre. Very enjoyable stay exploring the area.

The cottage was just as describe and what we need leading up to the wedding we attended on Easter Saturday. Peaceful and beautiful views. A nice touch were the breakfast provisions and the lemon drizzle cake. I would have no hesitation on recommending the cottage, we stayed in cottage 2 and hope to return in the future.

The downstairs is so well planned, with a lovely kitchen/ conservatory space, and the lounge doors fully open to extend the space if needed. Very airy and spacious, yet snug too! Clever. Front room gets the sun later in day, and sunset views over the field are beautiful. Downstairs bathroom is large and shower is fantastic! Beds are very comfortable and duvet covers etc are soft and good quality, with additional throws and pillows if needed. Upstairs has 2 very good size double bedrooms, plenty of space for luggage and another good bathroom. Several velux windows that can be opened, and the only sound to hear is birds. The kitchen is very well stocked with pans/ utensils etc, central island hob is great for sitting and watching the chef at work! The garden is beautiful, and very private. Wysteria was in full bloom, and all shrubs are well established. Fully fenced in too, so pets can roam without worry. Definitely recommend this beautiful tranquil haven.

Perfect cottage! Absolutely beautifully presented and kept so clean and tidy. Lots of lovely added extras that made our stay all the more joyful. Thank you again for having us for such a special occasion. It made our wedding!

Jack & Nicki’s place was lovely, we would definitely stay again. The property was nice and clean, the kitchen and bathroom were exceptionally clean and spacious. All Essentials were all provided, fresh flowers & an Easter egg each for the kids was a lovely touch. Easy to check in and out with clear instructions and easy to find. We have found Niki is a great host, very helpful and responsive whenever we had a question she was quick to reply with detailed information. Thank you for letting your property to us we had a lovely time.

Amazing place! We loved being close to nature, hearing birds, seeing bats, deer and a stoat. There's so many layers of history in this building. Easily my favourite holiday let

Lovely cottage that was perfect for our needs. We enjoyed winter walks and coming back to the cottage and lighting the wood stove. Would definitely consider booking again.
