This studio ideally suits a single/couple.( Not suitable for children) Ohope - voted NZs favourite beach - great swimming, lovely walks close by or simply walk down the beach. Close to Whakatane - a great little town with boutique shopping and dining venues. Come and relax or take the opportunity to do charter fishing or trip to Whale Island. ENJOY!

On a private road with direct access to NZ’s best beach, enjoy morning walks, refreshing ocean swims, and beautiful views right from the end of the driveway. The space includes a king bed, full kitchen, modern bathroom with shower, washing machine, sofa and TV and dining table. Surrounded by cliffs teeming with native birds and minutes from Ōhope’s charming cafes, it’s the ideal retreat for relaxation and adventure.

The Observatory, Semi Self-Contained Unit

We welcome you to our home, which has views of the ocean and farmland. The guest area is located on the ground floor. Only a 10 minute stroll into the township of Whakatane, and five minute drive to Ohope Beach, voted one of the safest surf beaches in NZ. The entrance to the famous Nga Tapuwai O Toi walking track is only 2 minutes from our home. If you are into astronomy, the Whakatane Observatory is steps away from our property, open to the public Tuesday and Friday evenings.

Bush haven private studio

Surrounded by the bush, our unique cosy studio is a welcome retreat. Breakfast and good coffee is provided for our guests. Situated at the top of a hill with good views. We are within walking distance to the beautiful Nga Tapuwai o Toi walking track, 5 mins drive to Ohope beach and Whakatane town. Listen to the call of native birds, including Kiwi. Sit on the deck and watch the sun go down. This is a great place to unwind and relax.

An amazing coastal walkway very close.
