Very nice place. It was very clean and well stocked. Neighbors around but very private. Beautiful setting. Krista was very responsive and helpful. The decor was nicely done. The house does have a lived in look and the couch is a bit worn. The beds were all comfortable. Beautiful deck and nice hot tub. The pool table is worn with a slope. It was fine for a friendly game, but don’t plan on a serious game. About 45 minutes to Asheville. We first arrived in the dark, which made it a bit interesting finding the house. All in all we loved the place and would gladly go back. Only problem, we never saw Gomez the cat.

This house is absolutely incredible. Tucked high in the mountains near Catawba Falls, but just 20 minutes from Black Mountain, it is secluded and peaceful with all the amenities you could need. Our group of 7 has lots of room to spread out, with multiple balconies front and back for admiring the sweeping mountain views. We made liberal use of the pool table and loved the large kitchen for family meals. They really thought of every detail, with plenty of essentials like paper towels and dish soap as well as nice touches like a large stack of towels for the hot tub. I would definitely stay at this property any time I'm in the area!

Maari is a wonderful host! So proactive with communicating and sending helpful recommendations. Their home is exactly as pictured/described: well stocked for cooking and cleaning, and lots of family-friendly games. My husband had to work (video calls all day) and the wifi was perfect for him. It was a great place to stay for local trips and heading to Asheville and the Great Smoky Mountains. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing place for our family trip! The cabin had everything we needed and much more. We all felt right at home and mostly stayed at the cabin to enjoy quality time and the incredible views together. The amenities were top notch and as described! Host were very communicative and responded quickly to any messages. We will be visiting again!

Beautiful views, very clean, spacious, and everything you could need was provided. We had a great Christmas spent in this home! I had brought a very small tree to enjoy but we were so excited to see a huge beautiful Christmas tree light in the living room when we arrived. The kitchen was stocked, the house was spotless, and the Yonder team was always responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet private stay! There isn’t much surrounding the area, even stores are a little drive but we enjoyed!

We absolutely loved this property. The house is super spacious and clean. We choose this location because of the proximity to the nearby Dark Skies park, imagine our surprise when it was literally a 2 min drive to get there. Even better, we didn't even need to go to the park because the location was great, we could see the Airbnb from the observatory/planetarium. If your like me and want to do some great stargazing, this is the spot. We brought our own telescope and yard as enough space to move around and look in different directions. We are already planning to come back here in the fall time when the trees and leaves are extra pretty. 10/10 would recommend. The hot tub alone made it extremely bittersweet to leave this property. Also, their communication is top-tier!

We had a great time and this place was perfw t for our needs. Look forward to staying again. I would, however, place orange cones or some other safety device over the horseshoe stakes as they could be dangerous with children or pets running around or even being out in the evening.

Theresa the co-host went out of her way to maintain communication with me. At any point I wanted to give her updates or ask any questions she was only a phone call away. I felt super welcomed and safe. She stocked the house with all of your basic food needs. There was a surplus of kitchen supplies to make a home cooked meal. Parking at the well and hiking up to the cabin with my belongings was quite a challenge It's about 65 steps. Once up there I took full advantage of the Hottub. I recommend to any guests to bring their own hammock to enjoy swinging in the front porch and listening to the creek. I recommend wearing hiking shoes to go up to the cabin. I absolutely recommend getting to the cabin way before dark, and if unable bring your own headlamps and flashlights. Be hyper prepared if you've never been into isolated wilderness like that. Great spot nestled in a perfectly private spot in the hills. Privacy is absolutely 100% and is ideal for a cabin getaway. 15 minutes or less to most amenities and close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Little Switzerland. Definitely recommended for couples or families.

Laura is an amazing host! Very responsive. The home is beautifully appointed with lovely details and felt very homey for us and our 2 pups. Super quiet and private. Although I knew it was up a gravel hill/road, and secluded, I was not aware of how narrow the road would be and how long it would take from the main road to the home. It is the last home at the very top, so for my anxious self, that was a challenge, but the home itself was wonderful as was Laura as a host! My partner Brian did have an incident where he had to back up 200 yards on this narrow dirt road to allow one of the neighbors to get down the road as she gestured she did not feel safe to pass him- so just things to be aware of. Thankfully he did all the driving and handled it with ease. :) Given they are still working on some of the roads up to the home post Helene, it just adds a bit more time to get from the house into downtown Black Mountain or Asheville. Again, nothing absurd, just something to be aware of.

We had a great time here!! A beautiful little cabin with all the amenities needed for a stay. Very responsive host and friendly. Loved having a private hot tub surrounded by trees to relax in and a great spot to view some stars. We dined for breakfast at Louise’s Famous Rockhouse right down the street and highly highly recommend. Best biscuits ever had! We loved our visit to Newland!

Simply put it was awesome. Small things add up. S’mores the record player good pans. The entire family enjoyed this place. The lake in the back private and nice walking trail is great. Too much to list of how great it is. Hot tub was great. Each level of the house has a bath room. The scents throughout the house was a good touch. The community is really nice was able to canoe and fish. The food she recommended was awesome good touch of home at countryside BBQ. If you are looking to relax and distress this is it. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Memories for a lifetime.

Amazing stay only hiccup was the original gate code provided did not work. Beautiful neighborhood with walking trails and so much peace and quiet. Would definitely come back.

If you’re looking for a secluded mountain getaway this is the place for you! It is the most beautiful and peaceful place Ives ever stayed! The grounds are like camping but you get a hot tub, shower and comfortable beds! It was absolutely the best! We will for sure be coming back. Micheal and his wife were more than welcoming. You definitely can get away from it all here. Our kids played in the creek nonstop and it was about 12min to black mountain for shops and yummy food! The area is also almost totally recovered from Helene. Thanks for a great stay!
