The Whip-poor-will's Roost (pets welcome!)

Nestled among the trees at the top of the ridge of Bell Mountain is our lovely cabin, aptly named The Whip-poor-will's Roost. These bird's distinctive calls can be heard in the early evening hours, a complimentary soundbite to the fresh mountain air. About 20 mi. from the Blue Ridge parkway, and looking out over + surrounded by Stone Mountain State Park and the Doughton Recreational area, this log cabin offers a peaceful getaway with ample access to the outdoors (including our own 18 acres).

A quiet haven in the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains, Sadie's Place borders the Blue Ridge Parkway, just steps from the Mountain-to-Sea Trail, kayaking and fishing. Nearby you can find great wineries, shops and restaurants in West Jefferson. Our guests love the cozy atmosphere and well-equipped kitchen. Make some memories at this rustic, hand built log cabin. This cabin was built using reclaimed pine logs from local tobacco barns. Both bedrooms are located in an OPEN LOFT upstairs. Privacy curtains are installed but do not block out noise The cabin is full of amenities including washer/dryer, hot tub, antique clawfoot tub with shower, full kitchen, jacuzzi tub, large back deck, game area with foosball table, and beautiful views of the little Brushy’s.
