With an enclosed garden & lovely views out across the fields it’s the perfect place to relax & unwind whilst the log burner keeps you toasty warm. You will also have sole use of the Pergola. We have a beautiful antique fire pit for you to use. We supply enough wood for a couple of hours. Extra can be bought.

The walk along the beach from the esplanade to the Jetty is delightful, where children can enjoy crab fishing and boat tours are available. Local cafes, seafood restaurants, take-aways, supermarkets and pubs are all within walking distance.

Guests will have access to the well known Green Island Gardens and Colchester is only a 5 minute drive away.

The Lodge at Middiford Barn is perfect for those wanting to enjoy the best of the Essex countryside. We are perfectly located for anyone wanting to visit Abberton Reservoir, Layer Marney Tower, Tiptree Jam Factory, Mersea Island, Maldon and the Historic City of Colchester. Whilst also being in close proximity to Constable Country. We are also nearby to the Wedding Venues of Layer Marney Tower, East Mersea Hall, Vaulty Manor and Braxted Park

St George’s Cosy Cabin with Jacuzzi Hot Tub

The cabin is set within a privately owned lane surrounded by woods and farmland. Situated within the grounds of our house it can easily sleep 2 adults and 2 small children. Cot, highchair and 2 single airbeds are available. It boasts a large patio with sunbeds and quality furniture and the jacuzzi is an added luxury, £20 is requested via this app if used. There is a large fully stocked fishpond of which guests are welcome to feed.
