My place is close to family-friendly activities , approx 5 mins from the Ashburton township and an hour away from the Christchurch airport and Mt Hutt Skifield. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with children). In June 2019 we have added additional accommodation of two beds (without bathroom facilities just along from main unit) and table and chairs. Ideal for groups busy exploring. Bathoom facilities provided in main unit suitable for 6 people.

Welcome to our recently renovated home. Our home has a great log burner, heat pump and heat transfer. Open plan living and functional kitchen. All bedrooms are good size. Free wifi available. Methven offers both great winter and summer escapes, with the mountain base only 10 minutes from the house, where you can also find some great mountain walks/biking. Or you can relax in the Opuke hotpools, just a 15min walk. You won't be disappointed staying in our comfortable home.

Stay in our cosy self contained cottage in the village of Staveley on the Inland Scenic route Highway 72. We are close to conservation parks, local walking tracks including the Sharplins fall track , Staveley Ice skating rink and Mt Hutt ski field. Methven is just 15 minutes drive. Ideal for couples, trampers, adventurers, and families. Families with toddlers need to be aware that a small creek runs through the property.

Middle Rock High Country Farmstay

A genuine NZ farm stay on a working sheep farm in the panoramic Lake Coleridge high country just 100kms west of Christchurch city. The Quarters sleep 8 in the main building and an additional 4 persons in 2 adjoining cabins. Beds are illustrated as Queens (in fact super-kings) but all rooms can be split to twin shares. Exclusive use to each group booking. Preference is given to larger groups at weekends.
