The Bunker (Holmfirth’s hidden gem) with parking!

https://tinyurl.com/y3cnz9h8 Our lovely Bunker is situated 3 minutes walk to the centre of Holmfirth . Built in our garden, this hideaway serves as accommodation for our large family to use when visiting. It has a large open plan kitchen/lounge diner with a sofa bed, one double bedroom, an office area, bathroom and a utility room housing the laundry facilities. It has underfloor heating and is double glazed. There is a dedicated parking space on our drive and a deck to sit on, in good weather.

Our simple wooden cabin has solar powered lighting and a south facing deck to enjoy the panoramic views. It is well insulated and sheltered by surrounding trees. There are footpaths and bike trails from the door. Zapato microbrewery is ten minutes walk away. The new off grid utility shed was completed in Dec 2025. It is next to the cabin. It includes a basic kitchen area, camping fridge and a small bathroom with a composting (waterless) toilet, sink and shower. Like camping without the tent!

Situated on the cobbled Hough, our recently renovated, 18th century building boasts two en-suite bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen/diner and a cosy , first floor lounge with panoramic views over Shibden Hall and estate. The Old Post Office in Bolster Moor is a self contained 1 bedroom apartment. Furnished and equipped for stays of a weekend, a week or a month. There is private off road parking and a shared garden. With a brilliant farm shop and cafe opposite and the local pub two minute walk away. Barely a mile away is Golcar, where you can find shops, food & restaurants, pubs & a pharmacy. Located in the Conservation area of Ripponden, close to St Bartholomew’s Church, the historic packhorse bridge and The Old Bridge Inn dating back to 1307. The cottage is on the edge of the Pennines and a great base who love the outdoors with many varied walks nearby.
