Built in the late 1800's, this half of the duplex has a typical shotgun layout with ten-foot ceilings giving a spacious feel. The front door leads directly to the living room, then into the bedroom, both of which have the original hard wood floors. The back of the house has the kitchen, with exposed brick, a dining area, and a bathroom with a washer and dryer.

Look out over the field for a beautiful sunrise. On a clear night, the stars are amazing! Enjoy nature and take a walk along our creek. Spend some time in our little town at our local shops and restaurants.... We live in the country between Carrollton and Jerseyville. (There is no WiFi.)

Once used by seasonal farm labor in the 1930s, Bunkhouse Seventy-Four is a fully restored historic bunkhouse with all the modern amenities for a comfortable getaway. Perfect for couples, it features a full kitchen, bath, queen bed, a spacious porch, beautiful antique stained glass windows, a private outdoor soaking tub (Apr-Nov) on a 7 acre hobby farm.
