Ron and Cindy's Bear Necessities Inn is anything but bare necessities. They have absolutely thought of everything to make their basement retreat welcoming and a home away from home. We felt immediately at home when we were greeted by Ron. We were in town to visit our sophomore at college, and did not want to stay too close to the downtown area so this was a perfect distance away while being close to many restaurant choices in Overland Park. The bed is comfortable, the fridge was stocked with items that were free to use and we had access to plenty of linens and the usual toiletries. I loved that the fridge had an icemaker and my husband had coffee from the Keurig. We could even sign into our streaming accounts on the TV. Our hosts were generous with their time, expertise and hospitality. We connected with them on many levels and would return for stays in the future. It was a perfect weekend for us!

My boyfriend and I stayed for a long weekend to visit a friend and Ann’s place was perfect! The directions to get there were super clear so we had no issues getting lost! When we arrived, she introduced herself and let us know if we needed anything we could contact her. She left a detailed list of things to do and restaurants around the area, with some really good suggestions. My boyfriend accidentally left his coat and within 10 minutes of leaving she called us and was super sweet about it. I would definitely recommend this stay!

Our stay at Sara’s place was just what my husband and I needed to decompress from daily activities with family. The house offers lots of room to spread out. The house was very clean. Each morning and evening we were greeted by cats that live around the property. They wanted to enter our place but couldn’t as I have an allergy to cats. The area is very peaceful allowing the sound of ducks at night and bird songs in the morning to be heard. Although we did not take advantage of the park facilities it is there for those who want to take a walk. Sara and her daughter greeted us when we arrived and we had a pleasant conversation with Eric one morning. There was no need to be in touch with them during our stay because everything was just right. I highly recommend Sara’s place.

This beautiful space was a pleasant retreat from my work in St. Louis. Everything was easy to find and Chris communicated quickly when needed. I enjoyed my stay and highly recommend this to anyone visiting St. Louis.

Beautiful home with a great view of the main channel and lake! private dock and all the amenities you'd need. Beautiful home, felt like home at the lake! Definitely want to come back and stay again!

The place was clean, calm, and just wonderful. We went right before Christmas and ms. Deb had put up a Christmas tree and that was wonderful because we were going to be opening gifts and it just set the mood right for my family. It’s those small touches that made this location stand out. Would highly recommend and I plan on staying again soon!

This was a very spacious and clean apartment . The bed was very comfortable. I was only there for one evening but it had everything I needed and more.

Michael and Cheryl’s place exceeded our expectations for a quick weekend trip! The home was lovely-very spacious, clean, private and exactly as pictured! The location was a short drive to the city and in a very quiet neighborhood. Would recommend the space to anyone looking for a place to stay, and will definitely be back when traveling to the area again!

A quiet, safe spot to stay near St. Louis. The space was charming and warm. We slept well and would stay here again.

Melody's AirBNB was a perfect overnight stay. It was more than enough space for one person, and I had everything I could have needed. One quick note that did NOT in any way affect the quality of my stay, if you are looking for a very quiet place, Melody's family lives upstairs. So expect normal family noises and walking. If this will bother you, then this is not the AirBNB for you; otherwise, this place was perfectly enjoyable, clean, and convenient. Would absolutely stay here again.

I had a nice stay at Charice’s place - a spacious and clean studio exactly as described. Charice was proactive in her communication and very responsive. I will gladly stay here if I make it back to KC. Samson

Clean, comfortable space in a beautiful area with everything we needed. We loved that we could have our dog with us. Jenny’s instructions on getting into the place were clear and she was responsive to our questions and even flexible with our check-in, which was appreciated! Would definitely stay here again!

Had I known how peaceful and comfortable it was, I would have arrived earlier. The bed was SOOOO comfy with plenty of pillows and blankets. There was no time for breakfast but the cookies he left on the dinette hit the spot this morning. No more hotels in Branson for me - this will be my go to. Thank you Noelle.

We enjoyed our short stay at AJ's Little Ranch. We received accurate details and directions beforehand, which made it easy to locate and get checked in. There were plenty of amenities as listed and we enjoyed the complimentary snacks and beverages available. It served our purpose for the weekend and Justin was easy to communicate with. We appreciated all of the details regarding the unit itself and ideas for what to do around the city. It was a positive experience from start to finish!

We had a great stay with Susan in KC! Susan was very communicative and responsive, and the apartment is lovely. While it’s connected to the house, it felt very private. You’ll definitely need a car to get into the city, but it was a quick ~20ish minute drive to just about anywhere in downtown Kansas City. We’d be happy to stay here again!

The Overlook did not disappoint! The check-in was flexible and so easy! I had excellent communication with the owner! What a beautiful, clean and inviting place, that is right in the heart of everything you would want to do in Excelsior Springs, Mo. You can park your car and there are several fun bars, restaurants and shops in walking distance! For your morning, the owners have a darling coffee shop, Other Trails, right below The Overlook! Here you will find a vast assortment of delicious coffees, scones, cookies, cinnamon rolls and breakfast sandwiches! Everything was just as advertised and fabulous! I would highly recommend this Airbnb to everyone!

John and Alisha's Airbnb was absolutely perfect for my friends and I. We had a great time and felt right at home. John was super responsive and friendly! Check-in was easy and if I ever go to Springfield/Nixa again I would return! I couldn't be happier with my experience there!

It was a wonderful stay. The pool table delighted the young people and the outdoor spaces are simply perfect.

Quaint and totally walkable spot. The unit is very put together, functional, and well-finished. Lot and across-the-street parking is excellent. Be ready to tote your stuff up a healthy flight of stairs. The nearby train is part of the experience, and we got used to it while sleeping really quickly. The hosts are exceptionally friendly and responsive. We will gladly return. We found the whole downtown Washington experience to be like a refreshing time portal to the 1990s. I suggest getting some Weds-Sun time into your trip to make sure that you have some days where all of the nearby businesses are open. For food the downstairs wine bar is great, and I think it's also worth the short trip to check out Taco Loco Express Mexican Grill.

Great place to stay has everything you need! And the area is super nice close to a Market, restaurants, coffee shops and a park so you go for a run.
