After being displaced from our home after damage from severe weather we were so fortunate to find this location. The house accommodated our family of 4 with pets for nearly a month without any issues. The kitchen is well equipped, bathrooms are well finished, bedrooms were comfortable and the location was very clean. The backyard is a beautiful and relatively private space hidden within a 15 minute walk to the downtown restaurants or the beach area. Anzhelika is an excellent host who was very responsive when needed, provided clear instructions and ample privacy. We would happily recommend this location to friends and family attending the area for events.

My stay was comfortable and relaxing! I love this house it’s so unique and fun. My son and I loved it. We found it feels sort of like a fort which we loved. The host is so relaxed and go with the flow it was so refreshing!!! Definitely give her a 5 outta 5 I will certainly stay here again and I recommend this place to anyone else who is looking for a airbnb in Bancroft area! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Our group had a great stay! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and in a great location. I enjoyed a peaceful 2 weeks at this beautiful Airbnb! The setting is surreal surrounded by nature and a river! I had everything I needed and I enjoyed a few nights with a cozy fire in the wood stove. The bed and couches were very comfortable. The No Frills in Shelburne was a great grocery store nearby. Wendy was always very responsive and helpful. As clearly noted in the description, there is no cell service but not a big deal as there is wifi. I hope to be back again one day! A true gem!

Doreen and Derek were excellent hosts. They were warm, friendly and receptive. The place was clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen had all necessary amenities. The neighbourhood was quiet and beautiful. We would like to visit the place again if the opportunity arises.

Loved my stay here! The place is modern, super clean, and feels very new. Big windows with a beautiful lake view—such a great way to start the day. Kitchen was fully stocked, and I loved having smart TVs in both the bedroom and living room. It’s only a 15-20 min drive to downtown, and check-in was super smooth with the code sent ahead of time. Would definitely come back!

Anuhea was an amazing host. The place is as described, beautiful & cozy. Short waltz to downtown Peterborough. Did not have enough time in our quick visit to do the sauna, but what a bonus!!! We would stay a hundred times over & bigly recommend these wonderful people & their guest suite.

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen. Einfach großartig! Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig, hell und gut ausgestattet. Der Blick auf den See ist ein Highlight. Ich würde immer wieder hier herkommen. Meine Naturbeobachtung am See werde ich sehr vermissen.

I had a wonderful solo experience at Catherine's cabin. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything I needed to cook simple delicious meals. BBQ for dinners and the frying pan was perfect for breakfast. The view was absolutely stunning, which you can enjoy from the private dock or from the cabin. It was only a 15 minute drive away from beautiful hikes and the grocery store or butcher. Very grateful to have found this place and will definitely come back.

We absolutely loved our stay at this cozy cabin! This was our 4th time coming back, and it never disappoints. The snowshoe trails are fantastic, offering great adventures right outside the door. We especially enjoyed the outdoor winter fires – a perfect way to unwind after a day in the snow. The cabin itself is so warm and inviting, truly the ideal spot for a cozy winter getaway. Tammy and Donna are such wonderful hosts, always going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Can’t wait for our next visit!

We spent a wonderful two nights at Karen and Steven’s airbnb. We unexpectedly had the first snow of the year during our stay and it was like a magical winter wonderland. We felt so cozy inside with the fireplace watching the snow slowly falling outside. We went on an amazing hike on old baldy trail which was easily accessed right from the backyard of the property on foot. They provided great recommendations for restaurants and given the snow, we were thankful that we had great walkable options. We so hope to be able to come back and would recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the woods and nature. What a beautiful place to stay! Close to Algonquin park where we got to see pine martens and later learned that they are also on the property! Awesome place to see northern lights. Zoe was so helpful and kind to talk to! Definitely will be coming back!

“Hostess with the mostest” is an understatement for Sandra. When she says all you need to bring is your overnight bag and groceries, she means it! Her and Dejay are lovely people, offering an incredible getaway. The attention to detail and commitment to their guests is unmatched. 10/10 would recommend and return!

We stayed at cabin #1 during October 11-13 weekend. We loved this place. Very clean, cute cabin, worth the price. Amy was very quick to respond. There are kayaks, canoes to use, firepit, bbq grill. We had awesome experience. I am looking forward to book it again. I highly recommend this place for with kids trip. There is beautiful playground by the beach.

We absolutely loved our night in the cabin. Simply stunning views and setting. Cassie was proactively helpful and communicative before we came. And getting to the cabin couldn’t have been easier. We’d love to stay again one day.

I found this place during the power outage, hoping to find somewhere warm to stay, I was pleasantly surprised as I have stayed in many Airbnb’s for pleasure/travel. This was the first time I have ever felt that every section of this place was so meticulous to the travelers stay! It’s dog friendly. I had my senior great day in there with my partner, and we will definitely be coming to visit again ! It’s the perfect little getaway from every day life for you and your partner. I absolutely adored staying here and the host is absolutely amazing. You can tell she really cares about that place and who stays there.
