とてもフレンドリーで柔軟なオーナー&スタッフさんでした。窓からの景色もリゾート感があり、ステキ。周辺は美味しいレストランがたくさん、どこに行くにも最高のアクセスでした。建物は古く、湿気が溜まりやすいものの、清潔で除湿機を設置するなど工夫してあったので快適に滞在できました。

直前の予約でしたがすぐにお返事いただけ安心できました。案内の用紙もチェックインもスムーズでわかりやすく、キッチンやお風呂も必要なものが揃っていました。宿の宿泊者は焚き火台のレンタルや薪無料、および清潔なリネンが嬉しかったです。部屋があたたまっていたのも配慮が嬉しかったです。お世話になりました。またいきます。

Ms Tatsue, was a very helpful host. She goes out of her way for her guests in Azumino. Google translate is definitely your friend if you don’t speak fluent Japanese. Beautiful town over all

We absolutely loved staying at Aya’s place. We wanted to get away from the city and enjoy some japanese nature so the place was in great spot for us as it offers hiking trails nearby in the Yominashe Green Park, with a few observation decks where you can enjoy the view of the mountain ranges (if you are lucky with the weather!). The place itself was gorgeous and beautifully curated, and we felt like in a movie the whole time. Also an added bonus is the cedar bath! The place was a bit hard to find at first and and we took a taxi from Toyama, but you just have to look for the big light green sign to Tateyama Sauna, and with the arrow pointing to the house. Otherwise it was a wonderful place to get away to, even for a day!

A fantastic home in a great part of Matsumoto. We found the house to be well appointed and very comfortable. Ken was a very communicative host. We hope to be back one day!!

We had such a lovely time at Rentaro's beautiful and big house. As the other reviewers say, there aren't any photos of the very large western-style side of the house which includes a big kitchen, dining room and lounge. There is also a big giant bath-tub with a heater that can reheat the water. It is next door to a beautiful temple and quite peaceful. We had much more room than we realized. I would say having a car works best - the bus and train didn't run so frequently. But we used it as a base to explore bessho onsen, the venus line, lake suwa, kusatsu. Rentaro went above and beyond as a host. On our way to Ueda I left my phone in a taxi and he called the drive and arranged for it to be sent to the next hotel we stayed at. He was generous with towels and all the amenities at the space. We loved our stay here and there was even toys for our two year old.

Worth every penny. Such a lovely experience with such a great host. His g food is delicious! Very rare to find a traditional house like this one, thank you for allowing us to stay!

The best place we stayed in Japan! Beautiful accommodation, acres of space to relax and enjoy life in Koshu. Mr Mukoyama is a wonderful host. He is very responsive and happy to help out with guidance on where to go and prepare routes. This really is a special place that can't be recommended highly enough!

色々と親切にご対応していただき、非常に助かりました。 お部屋も綺麗で広く、調理器具等も揃っていたのでとても過ごしやすかったです。 建物も歴史と最新設備が両立されていて、非日常感を味合うことができました。地域や建物のお話が聞けたのもとても興味深かったです。 周辺も山々が美しく見晴らしがとてもよかったです。 一緒に宿泊した友人達からも評判がよく、素敵な時間を過ごすことができました。 フルーツなども美味しかったです。

This guesthouse is perfect in every way. We are a couple from Australia, and we wanted to go hiking and enjoy the outdoors, and stay somewhere that gave us an authentic Japanese experience. Ayano and Waku’s guesthouse gave us all this and more. We were picked up from the train station, taken to a grocery store for snacks, and given dinner and breakfast which was exceptional. The guesthouse is incredible. Modern, stylish and traditional. Our room was warm, cozy, comfortable and quiet. The bathrooms are modern and comfortable. Great hot water, great amenities. We washed our clothes in the machine every night. The downstairs area is a delight. Kitchen, dining and casual area which would be great for kids. Waku was a chef in Tokyo and the meals were seriously amazing. We spent some time walking around the local area, laying in the hammocks and reading and they drove us to some hiking areas for the day. It couldn’t have been more perfect.
