Very cozy cabin very close to the lake. Perfect quiet getaway

We booked with Julia & Craig very last-minute and later in the day when weather conditions prevented us from reaching our initial rental in Truckee. They were highly-accommodating, very responsive, and in less than an hour of booking we were getting settled in at their rental. The house itself was beautiful and well-maintained, and much nicer than what we were expecting to get for a day-of booking. Check-in was seamless and their instructions were clear and comprehensive. We will definitely be booking with Jule Vacation Rentals again if we're ever in the area. Thanks Julia & Craig!

Absolutely loved staying at Dave's place. We only stayed one night but it was cozy and exactly what we needed. Dave was super clear about literally everything, and easy to reach when we had a question about the heat. I would book this location again, especially for a weekend at Northstar. thanks Dave!

This place is great for what it is…a 100+ year old cabin. It’s well maintained and quaint, in a great neighborhood and location, and very comfortable. The heating is a central wall unit, which was more than adequate for heating the entire space. The electric fireplace helps too and is a nice addition. The unit isn’t large but the space is well used and very comfortable for our family of four. My kids loved playing in the snow in the front and side yards. The rental agency was very helpful and sent us lots of great info leading up to the rental. We would stay here again.

House & property were beautiful, hosts were very nice and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay in Tahoe City. Our accommodations felt like a home away from home, so we were able to enjoy some family time away. It felt safe and secure. The kids found the games late during our stay, and want to come back to enjoy them and the home.

Peggy was a wonderful host. Great location, short walk to downtown and near to hiking trails. Fantastic private back yard to relax in. Very comfortable and clean unit and we appreciated the extra attention to detail and care that Peggy put into her place. We would highly recommend staying here and hope to be back again. We had a great stay at Marci’s house. Everything was as described. The location is great-so close to the lake & a short drive to Truckee, North Star etc. The beds were comfy & all appliances were very new. The big back yard was great & we enjoyed the gas fireplace. The only negative is the hot tub is in the backyard so a bit of a walk through the snow to get to it in the winter. Not a deal breaker but just something to note. Would stay again.

Such a hidden gem! This place was even better than expected—just as described and had everything you could possibly think of. Super clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. Stayed here with a group of friends - lots of beds so we each got our own, which is rare. The house was well stocked - kitchen, towels, etc. We enjoyed using the indoor/grotto hot tub. Cute shops & restaurants in the area (15-20ish mins). Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great stay. We had Thanksgiving at the house, and it easily accommodated those of us staying at the house, and a few extra. We were able to walk to cornish Christmas. (Downtown) This is a great centralized place to rent.

The Hart House was a perfect place to celebrate our two friend's getting married. The house was beautiful, inside and out! The meadow and the pond were such a nice place to unwind and relax from our busy city jobs. We picked some herbs from the garden for our meals and enjoyed the fire pit at night. The beds were cozy and kitchen had everything we needed. Would recommend this amazing stay to anyone looking to house a group of nature lovers!

This was my 3rd time at this cabin. I’ve stayed here solo and with family. Every time I wish I’d booked a longer stay. The cabin is well off the main road so it’s very peaceful and secluded. The house is always clean and comfortable but I spend most of my time at the pond. I’ve caught small fish but last time saw a HUGE bass! Spent hours trying to catch it with no luck, but there are definitely big fish in there. I also saw other wild life including an otter. Even being secluded, the cabin is short drive to Nevada city and Grass Valley in case you want to explore. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope to return soon.

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful spot… Wish the weather was better so we could enjoy the pond more… but we’ll just have to come back during the warmer seasons!

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. I really enjoyed the openness of the living room and kitchen area. I also really enjoyed the patio and the hot tub. I really liked the comforter set I got to sleep with. Overall It was a great place to stay! I highly recommend it!

This villa is in the heart of the foothills surrounded by nature. Its deck is perfect to take in the views, the home is beautiful and plenty of space for several guest. Host description of beds/rooms is accurate. We loved the little theater in back, asked for karaoke but didn’t have a chance to use but LOVED this option. Host is very responsive, willing to work out any issue or concern. If you’re looking for a large family or friend gathering in a quiet peaceful nature setting this is the place!! Warning you lose cell service before arriving at home, WiFi was great very fast just be aware to load address ahead of time and use internet for calls.
