Come enjoy a relaxing get away on beautiful Sugar Bottom Road. A great place for the outdoor enthusiast, no matter the season. Ideal also for quiet relaxation and privacy. We are a small acreage just 15 minutes from Iowa City, 7 minutes from Solon, and 30 minutes from the Cedar Rapids airport. Our converted barn is at the back of the property, behind the house. There is a separate road leading back to the barn for super convenient parking. It’s rustic, cozy, warm and inviting.

The Milk House at Lucky Star Farm

The Milk House is a unique space located in the countryside, between Iowa City and Kalona. This 700 square foot home has ample parking and room for four adults. The house is well appointed with a full kitchen, two luxurious queen beds, wifi and a Smart TV. Guests are invited to explore our 20-acre working farm with lots of livestock and two friendly dogs. Evening walks offer some spectacular views of the beautiful Iowa country sunsets! Close to public hunting, golfing, and Benton County's Hannan Park for fishing or swimming. Located a half hour west of Cedar Rapids and 45 minutes from Iowa City for game days. Pets are welcome.

Enjoy the beautiful countryside along with farm fresh eggs from our own hens. We are located close to the historic Amana Colonies, historic Kalona Village, Coralvile/Iowa City. We're a 25 minute drive to Kinnick Stadium & the University of Iowa/UIHC.

Our apartment in the country is located approximately 4 miles from the main highway on a gravel road. The apartment is attached to our farmhouse but it has its own private entrance and the apartment is all your own space.
