Akira’s place was amazing to stay at for our 6 nights in Yakushima. Its location is convenient to access supermarkets and nearby restaurants, as well as the airport and ferry access. Him and his wife were also responsive through messages and they made sure we had enough supplies like bath towels. The kitchen is well equipped with staples like oil, salt, soy sauce, and other Japanese sauces. The tatami mats and futons were comfortable to sleep on and there was a nice amount of light that breathed through the house. Overall I would recommend this place to stay and would love to come back one day to explore more of the magical island.

we stayed 4 nights at Morino Fairy, and really liked it! the place is great, had everything you need. the outdoor bath was fun, the view to the garden and ocean is nice! the area is very quiet. upon arrival Shiiko greeted us very nicely, and have us lots of instructions to get started. the hosting was kind and attentive. the only slight downside is the location which you should have a rented car, everything is at least 10 minutes drive from there but besides that, it was an excellent hub for our next Yakushima adventure. Thank you!

Beautiful and peaceful cottage in the middle of the forest. Spacious and very well equipped kitchen. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. They even arranged car rental for us with a great local company with the nicest, loveliest staff and very good price too. Don’t hesitate to rent with Navi.

Great place to stay and spacious enough to sleep 3 people. Very clean and appreciated the towel change each day. Nice location walking distance from many restaurants in Anbo. Highly recommended for a few nights in Yakushima.

Great place for a relaxing few days on the island. Very clean, very good communication with the host, and very insightful information about the place and around the island provided at the house. The cottage smells divine and offers very good energy to be in :) Everything about this house is perfect except for one thing, the kitchen is a little too small. We didn't have much problem with this because of the short stay of only two nights but if planning to stay longer, may need to think of some menu that you could do in a very minimal prep area.. We had a really good time there regardless of the super wet weather and were unable to enjoy the sea view from the patio or the open sky full of stars due to the non-stop rain. Will definitely come here again if we visit Yakushima!
