The Carriage House: Beautiful Farmland Views.

The Carriage House is the second floor of our cedar stables that was turned into an apartment years ago. It was completely redone this spring and professionally decorated to make it a cozy + luxe retreat with views to die for. While we no longer use the stables to house animals we still keep a few head of cattle + sheep in the pasture for your enjoyment. The wall of windows along the back of the apartment offer you the most stunning views of the surrounding farmland and an unforgettable sunrise.

During the day explore the countryside and discover farmers’ markets and unique shops and bakeries just a short drive away. Peaceful evenings will have you relaxing by the campfire with unforgettable sunsets and beautiful star filled skies.

Come enjoy this peaceful private getaway in a beautiful country setting that is still close to town and the bourbon trail. The cottage offers two bedrooms (one king, one queen) and one bath with an open floor plan, fully stocked kitchen, W/D, front and back covered porches, and don't forget the animals! We have mini Highland and High Park cattle, a horse, friendly barn cats, and spacious natural surroundings. There is also a walking trail along the woods, and a beautiful pond. Dogs welcome too!

1832 Historic Washington Bottom Farm Log Cabin

Welcome to our renovated 1832 Log Cabin on the grounds of the George William Washington and Sarah Wright Washington 19th century plantation. The cabin was the first structure built. Then came barns and slaves’ quarters (no longer standing). The dairy barn is now a woodworking shop and the bank barn was recently restored. The main house, built in 1835, is Greek Revival style. EC can sleep 4 comfortably. There is a queen size bed as well as a queen size pull out couch. The kitchenette is equipped with a keurig coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom has several extras in case you forget something. The shower, which has exposed copper plumbing, is sure to impress. Outside there is a small patio with adirondack chairs that over looks the horse pasture and our beautiful Panhandle sunsets.
