Great place, really nice to stay at. Comfy beds and lovely touches with the crumpets jam, teas and coffee. Well decorated and nice outside space out the back too. We had a good time. Only points would have been nice to have an armchair in the front room as there was 4 of us. There was some parts that needed a bit of a clean and a few spider webs in corners etc but didn’t affect our stay.

We had a great stay at Benjamin’s house. Comfortably accommodated 7 adults and 4 children. Benjamin’s communication was excellent throughout. The house is lovely and the photos don’t do justice to the amount of space. Very well equipped. Bakewell town centre is under 5 minutes walk away. Playground and pub also very close. Located on a quiet cul de sac with enough space on the drive for three cars. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay! the property had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable beds in clean, lovely bedrooms. Great kitchen and bathrooms... and of course the games cupboard! thank you!

Great place to spend a few days! Amazing location to The Ashes Barn wedding venue as well as lovely local parks. The accommodation was small but adequate, loved the porch area for all bags and dog stuff! Bedroom definitely big enough for a travel cot and a plus having a bath to clean the little one! Have recommended it to others already :)

Perfect for a couple and so nice she lets a pet stay. Really convenient for venues in south Birmingham and to motorways. Lovely courtyard garden. It was hot but bedroom fan worked well despite having to keep windows closed due to traffic noise. Great value too. Just a couple of silly things - pot lids? Perhaps it was me but couldn’t fine. And please … a cafeteire (pretty essential)! A great base for a week of physio and local hospital. Made it all so much easier :-)

Great stay. Friendly & helpful host. Lots of character in the house. The only down side for me ( but not the rest of the party )was the steps up from the car port to the house as I am a little unsteady on my legs. But other than that a great place. Lovely pub just down the road too

A perfect second stay at Emma's place. It feels like home from home when we are there. She has just thought of everything! From some quick easy to make meals in the freezer for arrival, the comfiest beds along with a choice of pillows! Toys/books for the littles, bathroom stocked with toiletries the list goes on. Myself being a light sleeper that struggles to sleep anywhere away from home, I have to say I had a whole week of lovely rest during our stay.

Patricia's home is lovely, warm and cozy. We booked at the last minute so that our family could spend Christmas together. We appreciated the lovely welcome and provision of staples like milk, butter, tea, coffee, juice and also crusty bread. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a full Christmas dinner with ease. Patricia had even gone to the trouble to decorate her home for Christmas for us, which was very special. We all enjoyed our time together there. It is a bonus to have a full bathroom and an extra toilet for a family, too. The setting in the park is peaceful and welcoming and there are nice walks around the woods and lakes; our dog loved it, too. This is a wonderful place to stay in every way and Patricia is a very thoughtful and accommodating host. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay. Impressive pool, garden furniture and landscaping to make the most of the sun. Ideal location for touring local sites. Izzy and partner were very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

I didn’t stay personally, but my partner and daughter went there for a weekend, the place is wonderful, especially if you have dogs. Beds are comfortable and all round reports were positive. The only things worth a mention I suppose our lack of Wi-Fi/phone reception and also if you are driving a van the people on the gate can be quite unhelpful. Probably best mentioning it in advance so the owner can have a word but my family loved it and would happily go back 😊

We had a great stay - the house is peaceful, quiet, clean, and especially cosy with the woodburner on! Richard and Jo were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and offered great advice on places to visit nearby with our two small children. We all slept amazingly well (very unusual with a 1 and 3 year old); the beds were comfy and it was so quiet. The house is well set up for visiting with toddlers - there are toys, books, stair gates etc. and the large garden is great to let them run around in. We would absolutely return, especially in the summer to really make use of the beautiful garden.

We had a wonderful stay at Annabel’s and will definitely be going back asap! It was perfectly peaceful with gorgeous surroundings and was even better than the pictures! The pool was much bigger than we thought and was such a joy to have, the decking area was huge with stunning views and the garden truly magical! This was great value for money! Annabel was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly and the animals were all very friendly too! The cats didn’t come to close though as we had our dog, who had a dream just roaming free! Thanks Annabel, be back soon !

Our weekend was absolutely amazing, the caravan is very comfortable, clean & in a lovely location, would definitely highly recommend

Lauren’s place was a lovely place and perfect for my young family. She had it set up for my baby daughter with the cot, high chair and bath for shower which was a massive help. The caravan was very clean with plenty of room and had everything we needed. Communication with Lauren was excellent. We would definitely look to stay there again.

This place is amazing - the cottage is well equipped and really well thought through. The beds are comfy and lots of space for a family of 4. It had all the amenities we needed and there are washing machines also on site if needed for longer stays. The games room and pool were a real plus point for teenagers too. We loved the fact you can walk to the reservoir with the dog really easily. The countryside is beautiful all around with many more glorious walks just a quick drive away too. The hosts are really quick to reply and were Flexible for us when our shopping turned up before our check in time which was much appreciated. We were lucky with the weather which made the stay even greater. Would definitely come back again if we can make it work.

We had such a lovely stay—everything was spotless and super clean, which made it feel really cozy and homey. The place had a warm, welcoming vibe, and the garden was a beautiful little bonus where we enjoyed some quiet moments. You can really tell the host puts a lot of effort into making the space comfortable and inviting. Also, they were super responsive and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

I was just as happy with this, my second stay at Emma's bungalow, as my previous stay The bungalow is clean, tidy, cosy and very well equipped for self catering It is a perfect location for me to visit family in Derby and I really like Belper itself Emma is very easy to communicate with and very responsive - she quickly came to my rescue with an apparent problem I had with the cooker! (the cooker wasn't faulty btw!) I hope to be stay here again and am happy to recommend to others

Our stay at the Grooms Lodge was our second and we're so glad we booked in advance to secure our Easter vacation here. Julie is a wonderful host who contacted us prior to arrival to check our ETA and to make sure everything was ready for our stay. The accommodation has everything we could need ie fridge, oven, kettle etc. The shower room is well speckled and very clean. Once we were parked on the private driveway we felt safe and secure letting our dog play and wander around the garden. Seeing the horses in the fields helps us to feel relaxed. Plus the canal is very close to the property so we enjoyed many morning strolls before joining our family for Easter celebrations. We both feel completely rested after our stay at The Grroms Lodge. An amazing few days away, the cottage nice and warm, spotlessly clean,tranquil and the tonic we both needed, the EV charger a winner, made it so easy as we got back each night to charge, beautiful location with great onsite amenities, a little community and close to all the places we wanted to visit, Bakewell, Ashbourne, Matlock, Chatsworth - kitchen had all the mod-cons and although we didn’t use the honesty shop, well stocked for the items you’ve forgot - a big thankyou, hope to return, next time we’ll have more time to climb the mountain !

A real dog friendly place in a beautiful setting . I stayed for a couple of nights with my 2 dogs and Catherine’s place was perfect ! With lots of enclosed space for the dogs to run and thoughtful touches like dog bowels and treats this place is REALLY dog friendly. Clear instructions which were very helpful and clean accommodation. I can highly recommend this host and their place .
