A beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Sara and her family are great hosts and her house feels like home from home. Lots of space for our family to relax and rest with everything we could need. I would absolutely recommend.

Wonderful place to stay out in the country on a lovely apple farm. The studio is large and the outdoor space is even larger. We spent each morning out on the beautiful covered deck with all sorts of comfy furniture to help us relax. Beach towels were provided if we wanted to swim in the very clean pool or lounge around it on pool chairs. WiFi is great. They allowed us use of their bicycles to tour around. Be sure to visit the salt restaurant, Villa Romana (a museum surrounding an ancient Roman ruin) and the castle city in Obidos. Kitchen very functional and we cooked several meals. Lots of pillows and towels. They brought us apples from the trees. The shower was exceptional and the on-site host folks were so sweet yet not invasive at all. Highly recommend!

Casa muy acogedora y muy bien equipada. La cocina tenía de todo (vajilla, cazuelas, sartenes, platos de sobra, lavavajillas). Las camas muy cómodas. Mosquiteras en casi todas las ventanas, que eran de muy buena calidad y aislaban la casa del ruido y el viento. Justo enfrente hay una tasca donde tomar un café, refresco o cerveza, pero para otros servicios (supermercado, panadería, farmacia, etc) hay que ir a Benedita en coche (unos 10 minutos). La zona es tranquila, con muchas cosas para visitar y ver; Río Mayor, Caldas, Péniche, el parque Dino de Lourinha,... Las vistas de la casa espectaculares, fue una estancia muy agradable, nos sentimos como en casa en todo momento y Rosalina que no dio la bienvenida y nos despidió fue muy amable y estuvo pendiente de nosotros cada vez que lo necesitábamos.

We were greeted by a very beautiful couple. Their happiness started our stay perfectly as did seeing and hearing all the animals. We were gifted with an artisan loaf of bread, cheese, and cookies! Their dogs are very sweet as well. We were lucky enough to find six little piglets that had been born on our last night! Truly a magical stay in a simple, but well-equiped cabin. Great water pressure and lots of hot water in the small shower. We will definitely stay here again!

La casa está muy bien para una estancia en familia. Es amplia y tiene todas las comodidades, además cuenta con un jardín amplio. Esta bien comunicada con las principales atracciones turísticas de la zona. Deolinda y su familia son muy simpáticos, agradables y se prestan a ayudar y recomendar en caso necesario. Muy recomendable.

This is the third time we have stayed with João and Ana. It is always pleasant and we feel right at home. They are excellent hosts and work to make the stay remarkable. Breakfast is always wonderful and the opportunity to meet other guests in a welcoming environment is always appreciated. Great stay.

Appartement cocoon et lieu agréable, la piscine est un vrai délice, proche de nombreux sites à ne pas rater au Portugal, joao et teka sont des hôtes très prévenants et au petits soins, je recommande vivement, ce séjour à été un des meilleurs que nous ayons fait. Merci à eux

Estancia fantástica, un lugar para desconectar precioso y muy limpio, el recinto es maravilloso, hay animales y todo muy cuidado y en muy buen estado. Se nota el trabajo que hay detrás por parte de los anfitriones. La zona es genial tienes de todo muy cerca (tiendas, restaurantes, farmacias, etc) nosotros estamos encantados. Muchas gracias por todo.

La maison est magnifique, grande avec des espaces pour chacun (y compris salles de bain) ce qui est très agréable. Elle est très bien équipée y compris pour cuisiner. Elle offre une superbe vue sur les environs dans un cadre extrèmement reposant. Les bemols la literie qui mériterait d'être changée et la chambre des enfants qui est très humide et nécessite de faire tourner un déshumificateur en permanence. J'ai par ailleurs été un peu surprise du manque de tact de l'hôte (ou des personnes qui gèrent le bien pour lui) qui demande comment nous avions pu faire une tâche sur un évier en inox alors que celle ci était déjà là. Mais effectivement difficile de savoir qui a raison avec un échange des clés express à l'arrivée. L'expérience reste néanmoins très positive et la maison top.

We stayed here for 3/4 days before we headed off to a wedding. This place was fantastic, highly recommend. It's so peaceful and relaxing, a great get away. We felt right at home. Thankyou again for having us there.

We enjoyed our stay at Ricardo’s. Both indoor and outdoor spaces were spacious and as advertised. It was noticeable that the hosts are making ongoing efforts to improve and modernise the spaces while maintaining some traditional charm. Everything we needed was provided. The pool was large with good depth variety, though it could benefit from better maintenance. Unlike other places, the automatic cleaning system ran only at night, so we often had to manually clear bugs from the surface before using it. We were a bit disappointed not to find some things, like darts and a hammock, that were shown in the photos. However, these were minor issues and had little impact on our overall stay. All the hosts offered exceptional hospitality, making us feel more like we had a personal guide than just a host. We enjoyed the daily bread deliveries and felt very welcome in the village and surrounding areas.

We had a great time at Alojoeste. The house is beautiful and very well kept. The house has all necessary amenities to do some fun activities, including BBQ, farm animals, etc. Even if the weather wasn’t great, we really enjoyed our time indoors, as well as the garden when the sun came out. Additionally, Luís’ hospitality was extraordinary and impeccable, right from the fresh eggs, warm bread and cheese to welcome us, up to the very last day. There was a crib available upon request. Only thing to keep in mind when booking is that for the 4 bedrooms there are 2.5 bathrooms (plus one by the pool) but one of the full bathrooms is inside the master bedroom. This worked fine for us. Thanks again Luis for having us, your attention to detail and hospitality added a great vibe to our stay.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans ce lieu apaisant proche de la nature. Miguel et Antonia nous ont fait nous sentir comme à la maison. Ils sont tous les deux fort sympathiques, on ressent qu'ils aiment les gens et qu'ils aiment partager leur Amour des animaux. Tout est fait avec le Coeur ! La "Casinha de Lareira" est décorée avec beaucoup de goût et soin (petit clin d'oeil à la femme de ménage, propreté irréprochable !). The place is beautiful and well taken care of.

Jose’s place is a little paradise in Alenquer with such an amazing array of flora and wildlife. The pool is large and well equipped with many sun loungers. A breakfast mostly made from produce grown within the gardens was made on the Sunday morning (the jam, cheesecake and carrot cake were particularly good, best we’ve ever tasted!) which was a very welcome surprise. Paola created some lemonade with Lemons and mint from the gardens and it was simply delicious. Jose even gave us five huge Sicilian Lemons to take with us once we left for home! We were staying for four days as we were over from the UK for a wedding which was hosted only 1km away, but we have to say this place would easily justify a holiday in itself. Everyone couldn’t do enough to help us, given my wife is 30 weeks pregnant and our overall experience of Jose’s place, Alenquer and Portugal was nothing short of beautiful. Thank you Jose and Paola for treating us like a King and Queen during our stay, we will never forget

This place is amazing, we have stayed in Airbnbs all over the world for the past 10 years and this one it at the very top. It’s a special place with a special host. A car is a must, but you are close to everything, we particularly loved Nazare. You are in very good hands with Kristine and her husband. We wished we could have stayed longer. Sam & Rich were amazing all along our great stay in their lovely restored Portuguese houses. All has been though to make your stay pleasant and comfortable, all the houses are decorated with passion and finesse. The place is quite and a good location to visit the greatest places of Portugal. We definitely recommend our lovely host.

Wonderful home that matches the host. Stunning from inside to out and very well maintained. The children (and adults) were very entertained with the arcade room and others. Great bbq which I recommend using as not many restaurants for large groups (unless you drive a bit) the kitchen was excellent, not only was it fully equipped, but the equipment was all in very good order to use. Good size grounds where the kids could burn energy and it’s helped to have such large car space at the front as we had 3 vehicles. As we went in December with the cooler weather the pool didn’t quite heat up enough to use (although the daring kids braved the chill and went in a couple of times). Also due to the cooler months it was difficult to get longer periods of hot water so we had to be mindful of when taking showers etc. Overall this is a 5* property and host and couldn’t recommend enough!
