This place is incredible. If you want to hike you have many great places to hike in a short drive. If you like to hang out in town, Sparta is a 5 minute drive to meet some locals and have some good food and drinks. If you want to just get away the house was immaculate. Very comfortable and private. As soon as we pulled in the driveway we knew how well kept the house would be. It was a wonderful trip. I can’t wait to get back to hike the other trails. Thanks Darcy and Mel!

LOVED our stay! Restaurant at the marina is superb, my husband said the “dirty” wings are the best he’s ever had. They had a DJ there for Friday night karaoke. Outdoor seating as well. Suggest visiting the Standing Stone State Park and looking at the trout dam and they allow fishing. Lots of hiking (pretty easy) and dog friendly. The Steel Coop in Livingston is worth visiting. They have an outdoor patio (dog friendly), karaoke on Friday night and live music on Saturday night. All together, it was the perfect place to stay for a long weekend away from home. We will be back!

We had a great stay at Billy Goat Retreat! Jill and LJ are great hosts. Very responsive and made sure everything was going well for us. We enjoyed the fresh eggs everyday, visiting the goats and relaxing hot tub. The cabin is extraordinary and we hope to return someday. You won't be disappointed here, just book it.

Perfect for a quick little get away! Quiet and peaceful place to unplug and relax, especially in the hot tub. Blackstone, indoor gel fuel fireplace, fire pit, games, bathroom essentials and so much more provided. We will definitely be back!! Kassidy was a great host and very responsive with any questions/concerns.

This was a great place to just get away from it all. We were a little early for the lake activities- everything was still closed for the winter- and we caught an incredible storm that we don’t get to witness at home so that was cool- but still we enjoyed being out on the beautiful porch just listening to the frogs.

Didn’t get time to check out a lot of the property just because of rain, but everything we saw was beautiful, and the house was super cozy so staying in was nice too. Had a great stay.

We lived the cabin, well appointed and peaceful. The cabin was themed and decorated appropriately, would definitely recommend.

Very relaxing, rustic cottage with all the modern touches. Beautiful location I came in early spring, so the trees had no leaves, but the cabin is surrounded by trees with a fire pit. Very nice place for a rest.

Our five-day stay provided our family of 4 with needed peace and relaxation. Grace and Martin are the ideal hosts for us; they respected our privacy, but were available when we needed anything and welcomed us into their lives. We loved being far enough away from Nashville to avoid the crowds and close enough to head to the city for the day. We especially loved the animals, the art, the porch and the comfy beds. Can’t recommend this property enough!

I recently stayed at this house and was immediately charmed by its neat, rustic vibe. The space was impeccably clean and comfortable, with a delightful mix of rustic elements and modern amenities. Every corner of the home exuded a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. I'd highly recommend this property for anyone seeking a unique, cozy retreat with plenty of character.

Mark's red roof cabin exceeded our expectations! The great lighting and decor and right in the woods where we always find peace away from city living. We had everything at our finger tips. I would recommend this listing over and over again!!!

The Little Lake house was a wonderful experience for me and my boyfriend! The location was quiet and we were able to unwind and relax. Entering the home, we were impressed by how spotless and clean the living space was. There were plenty of utensils, bathroom supplies, kitchen equipment etc. for us to use as well. The bedrooms were clean and had extra blankets to use out in the living space. Jeff and Jill were very communicative and responded quickly to any questions or comments! I would recommend this home as there are a lot of nature trails/falls to visit surrounding the area. It’s a wonderful place to wind down and relax in where you can just sit outside and listen to nature!

We chose this location for the proximity to Hatcher Family Dairy, as we were going to the robotic milking arm tour. We loved the location of the cabin. It was secluded and peaceful, but thankfully still had wifi and a smart TV for the kids at night. We spent a lot of time watching turkeys and cows from the porch. We can’t wait to come back!

The cabin is really good. We all like it! It feels like visit gramma in summer moments. The interior is beautiful and peaceful.

We had an absolute blast! The cabin is so lovely, and was conveniently located close to the event we were attending that weekend. It’s private enough that we felt like we had the space to ourselves, but close enough to the surrounding areas that it didn’t feel completely isolated. John was a great host— he was very proactive with letting us know about any potential issues with the cabin, and provided clear instructions for check in and check out. Next time we visit, we’ll definitely be looking into staying here again!

The cabin and the area around are so peaceful, and felt nostalgic. We had a great time at the cabin and will definitely be returning!

Loved it! For me the location was great. Definitely felt like home. Everything was provided that was needed. even snacks. would most definitely come back.

Comfy beds/ bedding, great AC, good water pressure. Very clean and comfortable.
