Toru and his family have created something wonderful here. We had such a pleasant stay and feel like we made a friend for life. Perfect spot for exploring the area around Takayama and Shirakawa-go. What an absolutely perfect way to end an amazing trip to Japan. Could not recommend more!

Great Host - Kon makes you feel right at home. Really goes out of his way to make sure you’re comfortable and that you have a good time. His home is very unique and has a retro look and feel to the place. We really enjoyed the complimentary sake and treats and also getting to know more about the culture and area. We wishes we were staying longer and also wish to return to Japan and book this place again. It’s definitely worth experiencing this gem. Make sure you don’t make the mistake we made and only book one night, book a longer stay so you can really enjoy it. Many places to visit in and around the area and enough shops around to get everything you need. Thank you Kon San - hopefully we see you again soon 😊

Great stay for our family of 3 in Kanazawa! The place was clean, neat and just enough space for us and our 1-year old - having the additional mattress with the sofa bed really helps as well since our daughter is used to sleeping on her own. Very responsive host and the location is just 3 minutes walk from a bus stop with buses every 3-5 minutes to the all main attractions. 5🌟!

Beautiful location walking distance to the river which was lined with cherry blossom trees so was extra beautiful when we were there. Very quaint little side street that the house is on, the house itself is lovely and spacious - could easily have a party of 4 there but there is only 1 bathroom. It all felt nice and cosy and wish we could have spent longer there. I also felt it was good value for money given the location & party size that could stay there.

Amy's place was great, easy to find and access. The accommodation is simple but very clean and comfortable. Toiletries, bedding and towels all provided and super clean. The location is great for a walk to the local rose garden and the river and just a short bus ride into town. We would stay there again.
