We had a wonderful stay at Akwa house. There are plenty of spaces for the kids to relax and have fun while the adults could sit in the lounge overlooking the beautiful views. We loved the quiet location and family-friendly feel of the street. The kitchen was well stocked and we slept very comfortably in all the rooms. I would definitely recommend Akwa house to anyone looking for a great home right close to the beach.

this was our second stay at Ethan's. the house is comfortable for 2 families and has everything you need. Ethan's communication is great. we loved our stay here.

We had such a wonderful stay. The perfect home for a family focussed reset. Loved every minute we spent around the table under the beautiful tree and lush garden. It felt like we were in the medditeranean country side, yet we were 5minutes walk way from the beach. The rooms are spacious, luxurious and perfectly kept. Thank you for being so kind, caring and accommodating both Lee and Ciska.

This house is fantastic! Dog friendly and close to the harbour and the beach. I will definitely be back. We enjoyed the stay and can highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Wessel’s place! The house was spotless, well-equipped with everything we needed, and perfectly located near the beautiful Voelklip beaches. Highly recommended!

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

Elsja made sure we were warmly welcomed - Christmas decorations, gifts for our dogs and some fabulous treats for us! This is our 2nd holiday at the house and love the large rooms with plenty of light and fresh air - easy walks to the beach and the mountain. We will be back! Thank you.

Epic stay at a beautiful place. Good comms with India in the run up and Anton helpful during our stay. He also cooked us a beautiful roast lamb dinner which we highly recommend. 5 stars all round. The house is perfectly situated, yes it is a bit tired in places but it only adds to the charm. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms in good condition and the garden an absolute gem. We loved our stay at Lydia's place in Hermanus. Beautiful mountain views, garden and birds, and direct access to mountain walks whilst reasonably close to Voelklip beach. It had all the amenities that our family needed and a lovely authentic and rustic feel.

Absolutely loved our stay! Misha’s place is gorgeous - even nicer than the photos. Came for a weekend with some friends and it’s the perfect house for that - spacious entertainment area and pool. It’s an easy walk to the beach and to the mountain path. Bed was super comfy. Ciska was friendly and lovely. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely stay. There was so much thought put into the details of the place and they even provided hospitality for our two small dogs! Would recommend to others looking for a quiet place to wind down the day after being out and about all day.

Absolutely amazing place that was just as described on the this platform. The house was so comforting and warm and had everything that we needed. Very spacious and peaceful. Would definitely be coming back here again. If I had to recommend something it would be that the pool be changed into a warm pool as the water was freezing and the sun does not reach this area. That being said I can't complain cz the garden was really a garden full of trees and plants. Simply bliss. Joanne our host was right on time and very friendly, bright smile and super helpful. Just a lovely person all round. Thanks for having us and we are eager to return again next year

What a stunning vacation property - a home away from home which is clean and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The property has been tastefully decorated with an artistic flair and Tuscan look and feel. Vanessa has taken the time to ensure guest satisfaction by adding all the little extras (books, games, condiments and basic toiletries, as well as treats and bedding for pets). Our dogs were able to explore the property safely as the entire perimeter of the house is fully secured. If you have binoculars, remember to bring them with so you can enjoy the abundance of birdlife and nature that inhabits the surrounding rocky areas. From a wonderful, sparkling pool on warm summer days to a scenic coastal walk to the Harbour, you can exercise yourself and fur babies as often as you like. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely visit again in the near future. Thanks for all your efforts Vanessa which were greatly appreciated by all.

What a memorable stay in Hermanus, made more so by Marinda. Location was ideal. Quiet yet close to everything. The cottage was in a beautiful setting as Marinda's garden is breathtaking. Odie and I felt completely at home in the cottage, including interaction with neighbors! Marinda is a kind soul, always looking out for me and Odie. Cannot wait to visit again during whale season!

My 3-week stay was absolutely fantastic! I honestly couldn't be any more positive. The flat is extremely well-equipped for a comfortable stay. I spent 2 weeks working remotely & another week on holiday, & the space perfectly accommodated both. Beautiful bedroom decor and comfortable bed, and the bathroom and shower are equally lovely. Kitchen had everything I needed and the washing machine is an added bonus. One of the biggest plus points was the uninterrupted power supply thanks to the back-up solar power – no load shedding worries at all! A huge relief, especially as I was working. Such wonderful hosts who went above & beyond. Lucas even came to my rescue when my car battery died – a true lifesaver! It's easy to see why this place is so popular. It's a true gem, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Thank you, Lucas & Laetitia!

Great host, very welcoming, accommodating and a wonderful pet friendly cottage

Our cottage was beautifully appointed and exceeded our expectations. Janet was very accommodating with our arrival time and made our check in a breeze. We were close to necessary amenities and attractions and i would highly recommended their establishment.

Lovely beach house in a superb location, only a very short walk to the beach. Well suited for 2 larger families or 3 smaller families traveling together. All amenities were fully stocked. What was particularly nice is that most of the bedrooms had en suite bathrooms which is helpful for those with teenagers or slightly older children.

Great space for a large group and great location- walking distance to the beach. Very responsive hosts- helped us out very quickly when we had an issue with a key. would stay here again.

A proper farm - protea flowers - but only 30 minute scenic drive to nearest large town (Stanford) and 15 minute drive to nearest small village. We (2 adults + 2 small dogs) enjoyed our walks, dips in the river ponds, and sunsets and sunrises, in short, a nice getaway. Lindsay was friendly, interesting and attentive, a great host.
