Machiya near Palace - A day in Khaki Muromachi (W)

As featured on the NYTimes T list, this property is a "Kyomachiya", a traditional Japanese home over 100 years old. It has been revamped from a "Nishijin-ori" (traditional Japanese textile) factory. It is located in the traditional Kamigyo Ward, minutes walk from the Imperial Palace. We collaborated with award winning architects at Ikken to renovate this space, which now accommodates the comforts of modern life, while retaining many of the original structure and elements from its past.

This house is reserved. Recently renovated, this apartment is a 70year-old Japanese traditional house. There is a Japanese small garden. Within walking distance to Namba, Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. It's right next to Kuromon Market. There are many convenience stores, supermarkets, restaurants, and drugstores in the area. You can also travel to Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, and Nara without wasting time. There are no washing machines. Please use a laundromat in neighborhood.(2mins)

小さめの民家(48㎡)ですので、大人4名までの利用がおすすめです。この素敵な空間に滞在してみて下さい。 雨の多い季節でも、駅から近いので便利です。 ★隣がBar★ですので22時頃迄は話し声や歌声がしますのでご了承下さい。そのかわり、音を気にせずにおしゃべりしても大丈夫です。 地下鉄花園町駅のすぐ近くに、癒しの空間が出来ました。日本の文化を大切にしつつ、癒しと優しさを兼ね備えた家です。1階はバリアフリーになっており、車椅子や足に不安のある方も過ごしやすくなっております。ベビーカーの管理も便利です。美しい木目を感じられる空間で疲れをとり、観光を楽しんで下さい。観光地にも近く、交通も便利。駅の入り口まで徒歩1分程。スーパーやコンビニ、飲食店も近くにあり、とても便利です。家は大きな道路から少し小さな道に入った所にあり、日本に住んでいる気分になるような、落ち着いた場所です。深夜は静かです。外食には困りませんし、日本のごく普通の暮らしを体験出来ます。難波まで2駅。奈良や京都、和歌山にも行きやすいです。関空からも電車で便利です。

Just 6 minutes by walk from subway Imadegawa station. You can walk to imperial palace in 10 minutes. You can stay like you live in Kyoto. We have wooden bath with small garden view. There are wooden deck besides living space, you will have relaxing time at the wooden deck with garden view. Electric bikes are rent for free. Guests can enjoy your garden while enter the GOEMON-BURO. 2 minutes to Sijo-Dori(downtown) on foot, guests can enjoy shopping and access to public transportations soon.
