Really enjoyed the space the house provided, given we are a family of five. Nice laid back house, which was just what we wanted. Beach was safe and only a short walk away. We'd happily return, we really enjoyed our stay.

Well appointed and clean room with ensuite bathroom, kitchenette, couch and desk. A very comfortable stay, with a private entrance and garden area. The hosts David and Kerry are amazing, they made me feel right at home from the small treats and welcome goodies they left in the room, to showing me the local sites, public transport routes, walking trails and restaurants.

Beautiful house with amazing views. Clean and tidy. Well organized with all facilities. Enjoyed staying here. Simon is very friendly host and communication is easy. Highly recommend this place.

Thank you Tania. Absolutely perfect for my daughter and I. We are country lovers so this couldn’t have been better for us. Loved looking at the horses out the window / door. Loved the sounds of the birds in the evening and the morning. I got a little confused finding the cottage at first as I went up the left driveway to the main house, not the right driveway. But was able to get hold of Tania promptly and she was able to redirect me. This is a beautiful rustic type cottage with the space really well thought out. I didn’t mind the kitchenette in the bathroom. Obviously as long as you keep everything sanitary as you use it it’s not an issue. Kind of the same situation if you were to stay in a caravan everything is close together amenities wise. Was nice and warm and super cosy. Would absolutely stay here again. Thanks so much for your kind, friendly and inviting hospitality.

Really enjoyed our stay. Everything there that we needed. Extremely clean and tidy. Loved the homely extra touches that Diane had left for us. Would definitely stay again.

Blackwood Luxury Hideaway was a perfect location for our group of 4 to stay for three nights whilst we attended a wedding in the area. Janine was super helpful in answering our pre-arrival questions and having the rooms set up to meet our sleeping requirements. The home was beautifully presented, and a lot of thought has gone into the decor / linen / kitchen utensils. The indoor spaces meant we had room to spread out and the day bed became a favorite spot for reading in the sun. The separate areas for outdoor seating where all well used to take in the stunning rural views. And the outdoor spa was a hit and had towels provided for it. The 1.5 bathrooms were very useful when your travel with 4 adults! They were lush with rain shower and beautiful amenities / towels. We would certainly stay again when we come back to visit the area. Thank you for a perfect stay.

From a host perspective, Huong was very responsive, flexible and accommodating to our needs. We had a group of 10 staying at this location and it was unique and allowed us to stay together for a family wedding. In general, the place was as described. There were a handful of maintenance and cleaning items that could have been improved, but these did not distract from our stay at all. We had a large group and the garbage/recycling was a bit of a challenge without a vehicle the first few days, but we managed that too. The home is distinct and one of a kind, with rich history. The long drive was a great test for us and Uber drivers alike!! The grounds provide its own opportunity to explore and do some hiking and such. The views are incredible. I appreciate the opportunity to stay here. I understand the property remains for sale and look forward to see how this unfolds.

It was a 10 out 10 in every respect! Great communication from host, and very helpful. The house was super and... rooms and beds beautiful,, kitchen had everything one could want, and more. Can't praise it enough! Would definitely go back, and highly recommend it to anyone. The 5 of us each had a beautiful room to ourselves.

Had a great stay at David's with the partner and young dog.. treats on arrival were a nice surprise plenty of firewood. push bikes were a bonus. easy check in and easy communication with David.. house was tidy with plenty to keep entertained with local information provided. was perfect location for what we were after for a short trip. morning trip to Morrisons bush. lunch and drinks at the wineries. night out at a few bars in martinborough, finished with some whitebaiting out the coast of Lake ferry. cheers david

The place is totally beautiful and suitable for a nice getaway from a busy city life. It’s peaceful and plenty of outdoor chilling area. The interior is tastefully decorated with personal touches. And Dale is so lovely to communicate throughout and understanding of our sudden change of situation. It’s hard to find such lovely hosts in Airbnb sometimes, so we are lucky to have met her!

Off the grid but everything we needed. Great to meet the animals on our walk to the river. Flowing creek with water wheel, friendly piwakawaka, tons of stars overhead in the night sky. Just a peaceful, picturesque, lovely place to stay and Jane made us very welcome.

beautiful stunning home. you can see all of the little touches and effort that has been put into this home. Rochelle provides lots of extras like coffee pod, machine, milk brother, home made muesli, hot chocolate satchets, milk, juice. So very thoughtful. We may definitely be back ❤️

We had a fantastic stay at Sam's place, great location with the forest and beach close by. Our kids loved the house and section and such a bonus to be able to bring our dog! Barbara was super friendly and welcoming. Awesome Kiwi Bach vibes .

Great facilities, host responded quickly, kitchen new, oven & ventilaion excellent, fire lovely plus good heater alternative, bathroom & shower excellent, bed was warm, clean & comfortable, wifi coverage great, decking expansive for enjoying the sun, rubbish, compost & recycling good, quiet street, very close to bush walking area & beach, definitely worth the stay

Absolutely stunning house first time in Martinborough and we enjoyed every minute of it. It was picturesque and luxurious and worth the amount we paid for it. The hosts were amazing and made sure that our stay was very comfortable and that we had no issues. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone that is looking for a quiet weekend away. The location was amazing as well as it is very close to a lot of the wineries.

Lovely place to stay! My whānau and I really enjoyed it… the setting is just gorgeous, so quiet, picturesque, and tranquil. The studio is compact and well equipped. We didn’t realize the queen bed is in the living space but it wasn’t a problem. Our daughter slept in the kids room and enjoyed having a “big girl bed” (bunk bed) all to herself. She loved the chickens too. Close to Patuna archway and Martinborough cycle tours. Would definitely recommend. 👍

Loved our stay ! Grant (and Ollie) were super friendly and looked after us excellenly. We all ejoyed the pool and spa pool - especially the pool toys and sun lounges. The views were stunning and was the perfect county escape for our small family. Highly recommend staying here !

This home was ideally located for a short walk to town and provided ample rooms for parking. It was surrounded by beautiful hedges for privacy with a great outdoor area. The home was comfortable and provided us each with our own space . The extra facilities in the complex, particularly the heated swimming pool made our stay more enjoyable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this stay to my family and friends.

We stayed 2 nights at Jan and David’s place over a long weekend, while we explored the area and visited Kapiti Island (for the first time, it was great). The accommodation was exactly what we were looking for. Stylishly presented, very comfortable, an excellent ensuite (great shower). Jan and David were excellent hosts - very obliging ang welcoming. Would stay there again and recommend their place.

A great stay at Blairs place, perfect location within a short stroll to the Main Street of Greytown. Even though the pool house itself is on the same premises and in quite close proximity to his home it felt private and was no issue with coming and going throughout our stay. The pool looked stunning although we didn't get time to swim in it, the pool house itself was big and spacious, and was warm and cozy with the heat pump and had everything my friend and I needed for our girls weekend away.

Lovely house. Used the swimming pool lots. The walk to the pool was close by. Often had the pool to ourselves (likely due to the time of the year-March) we were very comfortable from the time we stepped into the house. All amenities as listed. The main bedroom bed was very comfortable.
