Perfect place for my family and I to spend the night while visiting family in Parkersburg.

Finding a rental in Athens for graduation weekend can be difficult. We rented Woodland Ridge on airbnb. It was literally one of the best stays I have ever had in an airbnb. The first morning, the owner offered breakfast from the farm we had fresh eggs, sausage, fresh fruit & assortment of breads from local businesses. The cabinets were full of things that we could use coffee & snacks to name a few. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes and any appliance that we would need to feel at home. The pictures on airbnb do not do this place justice. It is a secluded stay in the woods 20 minutes from Ohio University. The outside was wonderful with a wraparound porch and a hot tub. You definitely can also see the wildlife we saw several deer. I Even with my uncertainty of animals, this place is a must stay it is absolutely beautiful. I shared on OU parent page this place is a gem!

We loved the farm . The hot tub was amazing after a long day of hiking. They offer many things to do on the farm with visiting the donkeys to the game room and patio with a hot tub . I enjoyed sitting on the porch swing listening to the rain each morning. The place has so neat old pieces as decor and furniture. They offer two beds we used the one and it was very comfortable. They have tons of books to read. They have a container of treats to give to the dogs which I enjoyed very much as an animal lover. Sherri was very responsive and offered ideas of what to do as well as provided pamphlets in the air bnb of things to do around the area. If we ever come back to town we would love to stay here again .

I enjoyed my stay here and would love to come back! Communication with Celesta was a breeze. She was so very responsive and kind. The place was beautiful, clean, and so cozy. There's another cabin on the property but even in the winter you can't see it from this one, so it feels private and peaceful. The area is amazing. Palmer's Market is a short drive and has so many amazing things. Triple Nickel Diner had our business a few times, too! Athens is about a 30 minute drive with shops, restaurants, trails, you name it! Don't pass this place up. I can't wait to come back.

My boyfriend & myself had the most relaxing weekend getaway here. The views are amazing, this truly is a hidden gem. To fishing the pond, enjoying the view off the back porch, or sitting in the hot tub with an open sky of stars. This was so peaceful for us. We enjoyed a couple stops over to Athens for some coffee (highly recommend court street coffee) & also did some fishing in our boat at strouds run (highly recommend also) Mark was an excellent host & we can’t wait to book again!! :)

Convenient location for our family get together in nearby Vincent. Very peaceful setting. Make sure you check-in while it is light out, as it is hard to find in the dark (we drove by it a few times).

What a cute and cozy place to spend a long weekend! We loved the cabin and the location. Everything was great. Sheri was wonderful at communicating and making sure everything went well for our stay.

Enjoyed our stay again for the second year in a row. Would highly recommend for alumni and anyone wanting a nice place near OU’s campus. Thanks again Christine! See you next year…SMO4Life!

This is a wonderful, clean, and convenient place to stay if you are visiting Athens or Ohio University. Everything was as detailed in the description and in others' reviews. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed for five people to sleep comfortably, and there were some nice extra touches too. The location is great. You can walk uptown or to campus in 15 minutes, and be along the Hocking River in 5 minutes. The Jackie's O's Cannery is just a few minute walk away and is a great option for a family-friendly place to grab a drink (and hopefully a delicious sandwich from the Bagel Street Deli food truck if it's open when you're there). This apartment made for an easy and enjoyable trip to Athens and Ohio University. We didn't need Christine's assistance at all, but she made clear she was always available if we did need it. Highly recommend!

I love Starry Night! This was my second stay and I am already planning a third stay. If you have a four legged travel companion **THIS** is, hands down, the best place to stay in Athens. The Airbnb is located within a neighborhood with low speed / low travel roads great for safe— dog walks (unlike most of pet friendly hotels in town). I highly recommend it to other OU parents…. a lovely accommodation a few miles SE from the Stimson Rd highway exit. You get the best of both worlds - beautiful scenery both there and on the drive out but close enough to town so it’s not inconvenient to campus, uptown or the shopping district on East State Street. Brenda and Deb go out of their way to make you feel welcome. My daughter and several of her friends came and out for an evening- there was plenty of room in the living area for a group of five to hang out enjoy some food and each other’s company.

Wonderful experience!! An idyllic setting looking over woods leading to a lake! Todd was great to work with, very flexible and responsive. Would highly recommend.

Cindy has an amazing place to stay that was easily accessible for my family. Although we had a-lot of running around for my son’s graduation, it was nice to have a place to go back to rest up. Sorry we didn’t have time to meet face to face, but Cindy answered any emails promptly. We definitely recommend Cindy’s place to our friends that have children at Ohio U and want a close place to stay in the future. If we ever plan a trip back, we w look yo book again. This was a perfect place for my husband and I to take our adult children on a weekend getaway so that we could relax and reconnect. We loved watching the sunrise over the river as we sipped our morning coffee on the deck. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful scenery as they were fishing from the dock. If I could sum up our stay in one word, it would be "Peaceful." We will definitely be returning for more family weekends.

This place had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. We had family over and all sat around the huge dining room table and visited. Front porch sitting was also very nice, as well as the location is very well lit at night from overhead street lights as well as a bunch of lit street lamps. Host provided us with a very nice breakfast which was a totally new perk experienced by us. we thank you so much for the great hospitality

My family and I stayed at this location for a full week while my daughter attended rowing camp at Marietta college. We had full occupancy over 7 nights, and I worked remotely during the day. Everything was perfect— we felt at home right away. The host was responsive and kindly allowed for an early check in. There is some traffic noise on weekday mornings as vehicles drive up the steep hill - so bring a noise machine if that bothers you. But all-in-all this location is an incredibly good value. We will definitely stay again!
