Staying at this Airbnb felt like a true escape. The location couldn't have been better – being mere steps from the beach was such a treat, allowing for spontaneous walks and the calming sound of the waves. It was wonderful to find such a genuinely dog-friendly place; my pups absolutely loved it, which made the stay even more enjoyable for me. The entire atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, and I found the off-season to be a particularly lovely time to visit, with beautiful weather and a sense of peacefulness. The property itself had everything I could possibly need, making it easy to settle in and feel comfortable. Amy was fantastic – always communicative and helpful, ensuring a smooth and easy stay. While there were plenty of options for things to do in the area, I also appreciated the opportunity to simply unwind and work remotely in such a serene setting. The upper deck was my favorite spot for getting sun many hours of the day. I’ve stayed in many airbnbs and this is a favorite!

This place was exactly as listed. The access to the beach made it so easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and will definitely return.

The Beach Barn was absolutely perfect. Ocean views from the back, canal views from the front. There was plenty of room for all of us (10). This house had everything and more.

Nancy was such a fabulous host! She as able to accommodate a few last minute asks, and was incredibly communicative via app when we had a few minor questions. The location can’t be heart for the price - and it’s just what a family needs for a beach vacation!

My family recently stayed at Joseph’s place and had a wonderful experience! The location was unbeatable—just a short, easy walk to the beach, which made it so convenient for quick trips back and forth. The inside of the rental was spotless and well-maintained, and it had all the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. From kitchen supplies to cozy furniture, nothing was missing. We also felt incredibly safe throughout my stay, with secure entrances. Overall, it was the perfect place for a relaxing beach getaway, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free, comfortable stay by the beach!

A true phenomenal first experience with ABnB and Unit D at Surf City. Jeffrey and his team were so great in seeing that we had all we needed or if there was anything they could help with. The unit as mentioned before is on the smaller side, it was perfect for my wife and I and my service dog Lark. The kitchen, while no appliances other than a small refrigerator, microwave and toaster, was very satisfactory. Also, bathroom was quite nice with a large tiled shower. A sound machine was a nice touch and helped with sleep. Location is just steps away from the ocean, with a wonderful pavilion to relax while enjoy the waves of the ocean. We would return without question.

We had such a great stay! The house was gorgeous and super comfortable. The kitchen in particular was a treat, really well stocked and spacious enough for multiple adults to work around each other when catering for a big group. The beach access was convenient with the littles in tow, and it was so nice to include beach chairs in addition to the beach gear we brought from home. The view from the balcony was beautiful and the house was the perfect house for a large group. The section of beach we were on was quiet and not crowded. It's all the extra touches that differentiate this stay from others, fully stocked spice cabinet. The bookshelf with kids books was hit, I think we read every single one. The beach chairs and boogie boards. Also checkout was so simple and straight-forward. We weren't jumping through hoops, just checking off very reasonable things like emptying the fridge. The house was conveniently located on Topsail. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Our stay was great! The place was beautiful and clean. The beach itself was beautiful and pretty private. This is a great place if you want a relaxing, calm vacation. There aren’t many shopping areas, but there are some great restaurants around, especially Smash City Burgers!! Even with rain some days it was still the perfect spot for a relaxing vacation. The only downside, which is no fault of the owner, the upstairs neighbors were pretty loud. This could just be from our stay, but it didn’t stop us from having a great week!

Great home with owners that cater to their guests. All the amenities were provided including s’mores over the fire pit. So many thoughtful items provided or available. We felt they wanted us to enjoy our stay. House provides room, comfort, quiet and fun. Great trip and loved our stay.

This is the nicest, quietest AirBnb we have stayed in -+ bonus: with the most generous, responsive host. All of the views and vistas at this elevated retreat are spectacular!!! Love the location. Close to the beach and marshes and also plenty of porches and other seating spots to relax. Everything inside was comfortably and generously prepared for us - plenty of dishes and kitchen supplies, loads of towels, comfy couches and beds/bedding, beach needs…what more could you ask for? Grateful to have spent Thanksgiving ‘24 here.

The home was beautiful. It had everything we were looking for and more. Tyler, our host gave us everything we needed and more. He made our arrival very smooth. He answered every question in record time. The home was spacious and accommodated our family of 16 comfortably. The home was equipped with everything we needed and more. The elevator in the home allowed for our elderly parents to easily navigate the home and our outings. The access to restaurants, grocery stores, gas, beaches and the pier made it feel like home. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in the Surf City area. It was definitely 5 stars 🌟.

Andrew could not have been more accommodating or responsive. The home was even better than expected, absolutely immaculate and the linens were top-notch. My sister and I had to come to NC to assist with family funeral arrangements and the beach house was the perfect reprieve we needed after long days. Andrew checked in on us daily with sincere compassion. We plan to come back with our families and take advantage of all of the amenities that beautiful house provides. We wouldn’t stay anyplace else! Thank you for being so kind and for sharing the wonderful home with us.

The place exceeding our expectations. It was easy to get into when we checked in. We had five adults and two children (ages 2 and 6) in our family. My 80 year old mother was with as well. The elevator was a life saver for her. The layout allowed the parents and children to have the entire 2nd floor to themselves. Great grandma also stayed on the 2nd floor as there were 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms on this floor. The 4th floor was a great place to hang out, play games, and put a huge puzzle together. It also had an amazing sleep space, although we did not need it. The full bathroom on this floor was also much appreciated. The kitchen was amazing, having everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together throughout the week. The beach was very close (3 min walk) on a nice boarded walk way with no traffic or worries as we walked with little ones daily. The pool was very close as well and made a great alternative when kids tired of the beach. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home during the winter. The amenities were great with a lot to do and keep everyone entertained. Walking distance to the beach access. A stunning view and access to the channel. The backyard was perfect with a fire pit for s'more. Aimee was a great host!

Beautiful beach vacation! Can’t beat the location, with coffee on the deck over looking the ocean every morning. We all had our own space and decks to hangout on. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy to eat in. Why leave when you have ocean front!? The beach chairs, boogie boards, and kids toys were great to have. The elevator came in handy bringing up our luggage and groceries. We ran out of toilet paper and hand soap, that was unexpected so make sure you bring some! Also, Steep cleaning fee to do laundry before we leave. But it was nice not having to bring down our own sheets and towels. Barbara was great communicating with anything we needed, thanks for a great Surf City vacation!

An awesome space for our group of 7 that afforded some privacy with great common areas. Loved the views of the marsh at a location within walking and biking distance of the beach and restaurants. Plenty of parking and outdoor space too. We would definitely rent this space again!

Beautiful house!! When we first walked in we felt right at home. The house had everything you could ever need for a week vacation. I loved that every room had a little laundry basket for the kids to put their dirty clothes in and a washer and dryer (a mom thing lol). Loved that they have a dishwasher as well!! I loved that the master bedroom had a private little balcony with a sliding glass door! It was so nice that there is a neighbor to the right but not the left so the house is on the corner so you have so much room in front of the house for the kids to play frisbee, catch, football etc. we are a big fishing family and it was amazing to be able to get up in the morning and throw some lines out we caught a few mullet from shore! They have all the chairs you could need and sand toys for the kids! Lee was great with answering all my questions super fast! The house was super clean! If you are looking for a great family vacation home 10/10 recommend go with lee’s island time house!!!

This is a great house. It was clean and comfortable. The views are incredible and it was so peaceful and beautiful. We had everything we needed and had fun with the water toys and bikes. The oceanfront clubhouse and amenities are nice. Didn't use the pool, but it was open for use at the end of April. Hope to return again. The host was very responsive.

Joanne’s place was perfect for our family’s spring break. The waterway view was fantastic especially at sunset. The house was clean and well stocked. Cute beach decor and a closet full of games. Enjoyed having linens provided, even beach towels. All the appliances and washer and dryer seemed brand new. Stable internet connection so my husband and I could work when we needed to without interruption. Smart TVs had Roku and all the streaming apps. We walked to the beach easily. We really enjoyed the kayaks. We boated to Sears Landing for breakfast and Max’s pizza for dinner. Both were excellent. We fished off the dock but had no bites. Might be too cold in March for successful fishing. We did not have any trouble and had everything we needed and more. Thank you Joanne! We hope to rent again soon!

Casa de la Costa is such an amazing home. The entrance of home felt like an Italian villa upon arrival. The interior design perfectly captures mid century modern. Perfectly clean bathrooms. The king size bed was comfortable for me and my 6’4” husband. And the dock was great for fishing. The home was perfectly central for our stay as we had plans to visit Wilmington, Surf City, and Carolina Beach. I can’t express enough how we felt right at home. Highly recommend 10/10.
