Shawn and Melissa’s place was the absolute perfect retreat for our family. After coming off 8 months of intense medical treatments, my tribe needed a break!! This house and location was ground zero for some much needed decompression. We primarily rented it for the outdoor amenities, and although the weather didn’t always cooperate, we were able to make use of just about everything - it did not disappoint!! The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we have ever experienced and it was greatly appreciated. We are a bike-riding family and the location to everything Topsail offered was within a bike ride away! With 6 adults and two children, the layout of the house allowed us to gather together for meals in comfort, and retreat to our own spaces when needed. We highly recommend The Kraken.

We had a great stay at Rob and Mary’s beach house. The location couldn’t have been better. It was right across the street from a beautiful, quiet beach, and the house sat directly on the bay. If we had more time, I definitely would have taken the kayak out. They really thought of everything. Beach chairs, towels, bikes, and more were available, which made things so easy since we flew in from PA and couldn’t bring much with us. The house was very clean and comfortable, and Rob and Mary were friendly, helpful, and responsive. They also provided a list of local recommendations, which helped us make the most of our short visit. I was there with my three teenage daughters and they loved it too. We would absolutely stay again.

We all thought it was awesome from location to the home itself. All our kids had something to do at all times between the games, beach and the sound. We would definitely recommend and would come back!

This is a great house. It was clean and comfortable. The views are incredible and it was so peaceful and beautiful. We had everything we needed and had fun with the water toys and bikes. The oceanfront clubhouse and amenities are nice. Didn't use the pool, but it was open for use at the end of April. Hope to return again. The host was very responsive.

This was one of our favorite vacation rentals ever. The location along the canal was so quiet and peaceful. We used the paddle boards and kayaks, and spent so much time outside at the the dock in the evenings. Our kids enjoyed fishing. We rented the golf cart for the week which made trips to the beach quick and easy. The house was very well stocked with paper products, condiments, and basic cooking supplies. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything Mindy!

Joanne’s place was perfect for our family’s spring break. The waterway view was fantastic especially at sunset. The house was clean and well stocked. Cute beach decor and a closet full of games. Enjoyed having linens provided, even beach towels. All the appliances and washer and dryer seemed brand new. Stable internet connection so my husband and I could work when we needed to without interruption. Smart TVs had Roku and all the streaming apps. We walked to the beach easily. We really enjoyed the kayaks. We boated to Sears Landing for breakfast and Max’s pizza for dinner. Both were excellent. We fished off the dock but had no bites. Might be too cold in March for successful fishing. We did not have any trouble and had everything we needed and more. Thank you Joanne! We hope to rent again soon!

Our stay was short, but the house had everything we needed. There’s a closet full of beach gear, and we loved taking the two bikes out for a ride—my husband and I biked for an hour, which was such a treat since we live in Virginia where it's much hillier. Riding along the flat beach roads was amazing. Even though it was cold, our son had a great time at the beach and didn’t want to leave! The house was also spotless—honestly one of the cleanest Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. My family enjoyed for sure!

We had a great long weekend stay. The house exceeded our expectations, was spacious and the views were incredible. Only a half mile drive to the bridge leading to the surf city pier.

Second time that I have been here and it was just as amazing as the first time. It is literally a play ground with all the water activities right at your fingertips and the sunrises and sunsets are picturesque!!!

This cottage on pages creek was stunning, peaceful, full of nature and relaxing. Every detail was thought of, a very pleasant restful visit and an oasis at this destination!

As advertised! Would recommend and hope to return. Everything was great! There is not one negative I can think of. One of the best places we have stayed through Air BnB. Sue was a great host, super clean, comfy beds, plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, excellent location.

This cozy cottage was exactly what my daughter and I needed for a weekend away in a secluded setting on their property. Charlene was a gracious host and the amenities in this cozy cottage were impeccable! It was super inviting, modern, and had all the things that you needed including very appreciated basket of snacks upon arrival. My daughter and I really enjoyed using the gym next-door and then headed out toward Wrightsville Beach the next day. We enjoyed the fire pit at night with provided firewood on the cute patio with the string lights and peaceful sounds of nature. Grocery stores were easily 5 to 10 minutes away and Wilmington was a good 15-20 minute ride. Topsail was 25 minutes in the other direction and we loved visiting there as well. The property is huge and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cottage! Great stay overall!
