We had a lovely stay. We were so thankful for the firewood and we visited during certainly, the coldest part of the year. My wife and I could snuggle on the couch, enjoy the fireplace and enjoy each others company with a glass of wine. The view is breathtaking and we enjoyed the sheep with baby lambs walking past our cottage.

I kept adding days because I was very comfortable. Basically the place is just perfect......Would definitely go back again. Thanks to the host and family. You are appreciated and God bless you guys

We had a very peaceful, relaxing 2 night stay on this lovely farm after a very busy 2 week holiday. Unfortunately we did not get to enjoy all the amenities this place has to offer in such a short time and due to some rainy weather - which was lovely to just sit, watch and listen to in the braai area. Definitely a must visit when you need to unwind and get away from the hustle in the City!

Wonderful retreat. The room itself was comfortable and ideal for two people. The area was safe and peaceful.

Sheila was an excellent host and mountain lodge was a fantastic spot. The location was great and exactly what we were looking for. We won’t hesitate to go back again.

Loved the stay at the Willows. It looked exactly like the pictures. Close enough to Clarens yet far enough if you are looking for a relaxing getaway.

It was a wonderful stay at Tempelhof Guest & Game farm with Ansie and Criss. We were a couple with an infant and the hospitality was beyond great. Ansie was always on top of her communication right from the day we booked. They were like family. I still couldn’t get over the delicious chocolate brownies she baked for her guests. The place is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts. It is primarily a hunting lodge open to non-hunter guests only a few weeks on the off-season. The hosts have a private zoo with multiple well maintained predators , rodents, scavengers, birds, fish and off course the friendly dogs they have. Criss and Ansie has a cozy bar with a deck that overlooks the extensive valley below. The place has a rustic charm with a retro German vibe. It is perfect for the guests who are looking to stay away from the modern/urban glass and steel. Lest we forget, the property offers its bit for the birders. Clarens, GGH National Park around a 90 mins drive. We recommend the place.

The accommodation was everything the advert promised and much more! What a delightful experience and we were sorry we were passing through as could easily have stayed longer. There were all the provisions and amenities for catering for ourselves, braaing out on the deck and enjoying the sunset views. The facilities in this spacious cabin for two were of excellent standard and the decor very tasteful and suitable.

Beautiful sandstone farmhouse and adjacent accommodation, on a farm in the eastern Free State. Looks out over attractive garden and werf, with wide verandah. Lindie was super helpful and welcoming as was their farm manager. Very comfortable, very clean and very cosy and well equipped.
