This cute little house was perfect for my friend and I. We were on a motorcycle tour through the Sierra’s. The location is great in Portola and within walking distance of some restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. All the amenities in the house worked good and it is nicely decorated making it feel very homey. I highly recommend checking this place out for your next trip to the area. Thanks for everything Vincent!

The cabin was everything it was described as being. Very quiet. Excellent location. The Nakoma Resort offers amenities such as two restaurants and a recreation center that includes a pool. There is a plethora of things to do in the surrounding area including close access to the lakes region (alpine lakes and hiking galore), Graeagle and Portola.

Our family including grandparents thoroughly enjoyed making memories in this cozy, welcoming, and lovely cabin home away from home. Everything was clean and comfortable and modern, yet with the feel of cabin by the lake (and snow for us). Clear directions, great communication, comfortable beds all around, incredible views, open design so we were all together, fantastic kitchen, and so much more. We would definitely stay here again! This was our 3rd stay at Denise’s home, and it’s just as amazing as our previous stays. I am thankful that we have found our home away from home in the beautiful Chester/Lake Almanor area. Her home meets my 3 “C” requirements for a good rental—-Clean, Cozy and Comfy😍I don’t even bother looking at other homes when I’m planning our vacations in Lake Almanor. My family enjoyed our stay over this spring break. We loved all the games that they had to offer, the beautiful view, and the spacious kitchen that was equipped with everything we needed. This cabin was spacious enough to fit our party of six comfortably. We would definitely come back here. The private dock was also a huge bonus for us since we brought our fishing boat. It’s a little bit of a steep hill getting back up to the cabin, but it was a good workout! Hope to come back next year!

This is a very cute cottage feeling upstairs unit, decorated well and with an equipped kitchen! The hosts are very accommodating and even greeted us with a card and a loaf of sourdough bread Wendy baked and teas and treats, So kind! There's pretty ducks in the yard and a view of trees that happened to be covered in snow so we got a beautiful view, equipped with heaters in our rooms, we were very cosy. Thank you! I hope to return again.

The place was clean with a amazing views

This was our second year we have rented this place for our family's annual lake trip. We loved it! The upgraded air conditioner in the living room and the ceiling fans in each bedroom definitely made it a very comfortable experience. You also can't beat the private dock and beach area. We will be booking this place again for next year. We love the privacy of this home too. Very grateful for the quick responses from the host too when we had any minor questions. Definitely can't wait for our trip next year!

The Meyers Ranch has 3 airBnB rental units. My family stayed in a cabin that has 2 queen beds upstairs and a pullout sofa that my wife slept on. I stayed .7 miles away at another unit that has a queen bed(I snore) :) The Ranch has a beautiful hot spring in the center of their property pasture. The hot spring is thermostatically controlled to provide 103/4 degree water in the soaking tank. The soaking tank is .6 miles on a country access road from the cabin. The smaller unit I stayed in was .1 mile from hot spring. There are activities available for children and farm activities, such as roasting marshmallows on an open fire pit, outdoor dining table in the summer, soaking in the hot spring and many more. My wife spent a day baking treats while it rained and we got to soak at the hot spring during a snow storm. I will definitely come back and look forward to visiting again.
