There has been a mill on this site since 1298 and in 2019 we completely refurbished the current 18th century milll to a very high standard to ensure a truly comfortable and magical getaway. You'll be surrounded by trees, bird song and the constant sound of running water and the sight of our resident heron by the waterfall. The mill lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Daphne du Maurier country, on the Fowey estuary.

Nepenthe is a Grade II listed ex-fisherman's cottage; over 250 years old. Within her lies the quaint living-space of a bygone era: log burners, lower ceilings - and a back wall built into the very Cornish rock upon which she stands. And the peace and quiet of the Nepenthe's location is untrammelled by traffic noise.
