I came to Paducah to work with the police department. Kevin's property is very convenient to downtown. The house is amazing with high ceilings, fixtures and paintings that fit a bygone era, but with all the modern conveniences that weren't available in the mid-1800s when this heritage home was built. I did not venture upstairs, but I'm certain that everything upstairs would have been just as clean and interesting as the rest of this amazing house. When you step back in time by going through the massive front door, you find yourself in a foyer with a sitting room that was perfectly suited to the mid-1800s. I marveled at how the modern A/C, appliances, and plumbing had been tastefully integrated with such a historic setting. The fact that the owner is an architect makes perfect sense. I slept in the back bedroom and the bed was very comfortable and adorned with high quality pillows and bedding. It was quiet every evening and I had fantastic sleep each night. I highly recommend.

We came to the farm in the country for an extended weekend stay and to get away from it all for a while (the hustle and bustle of city life). Carol was out of town the weekend we were there, but we still had communication with her personally and through other hosts that were present on the property in place of her. Anything we need or wanted, those needs were met promptly. Our stay there was very comfortable, relaxing, and everyone there made us feel right at home. Even though the location was secluded in the middle of Shawnee Forest, we felt very safe there. We were able to roam the farm, spend time with the horses, swim in the lake, and we had full access to the living room/family room and kitchen in the main house, in addition to the room we were staying in. Our place was very private and met all our needs. We were able to see a few of the historical sights in the area. This stay was located within a reasonable distance of those sights. They also have horseback riding available but we just ran out of time. It's definitely something we will do the next time we are there. Carol's hosts were very hospitable in her place. We really enjoyed talking with them and interacting with them. We definitely look forward to going back there for another stay.

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Mansion! Tony and his wife were very attentive to our needs and we were very comfortable during our stay. The mansion and interior decor are fascinating and create a unique and timeless environment; I really felt I had gone back in time many decades; this was such a welcome respite from my life in California. We will certainly always try and book the Mansion for our annual trips to Southern Illinois. I highly recommend the property.

Lisa was very Friendly and responsive when I had questions, if you are looking for a place to put a construction crew for work this is for you, if you are looking to run away for a couple of weeks for peace and quiet and a beautiful view this is for you, and last but not least, the whole stay there I seen more whitetail deer than anything, Mrs. Lisa also rents for deer hunters for deer season! So if your looking for a place around Metropolis Illinois look her up, I will definitely be going back for Vacation and Deer hunting!
